Takenaka Bento Boxes

Takenaka Bento Boxes-1-Design Crush

Bento boxes are endlessly useful – outside of food they can be used to organize things like your office supplies, a sewing kit, and so much more. But make a collection bursting with color like Takenaka did and I’ll think of a few dozen more just to have an excuse to buy a few! Choose from the Rectangle, the Double, the Deep, or the Expanded Single/Double in a myriad of gorgeous colors.

Lostine

Lostine-1-Design Crush

With the holidays fast approaching (gulp) I’ve got my eyes on the lookout for unique goods perfect for gifting. Lostine is a well curated shop featuring handmade and vintage items that I’d not only happily give to loved ones, but keep for myself. A set of the candleholders above would make any Thanksgiving table.

Actually, It Is Easy Being Green

Green-1-Design-Crush

Bloomsbury pattern // Susanna Vento // The Transcontinental Affair

This season there’s one color I can’t help but see everywhere I look, and that’s green. Green of all hues and shades, super saturated and pleasingly pastel. From home interiors to fashion to everywhere in between, this color that’s usually making a departure come autumn is all of a sudden making a play to stick around!

The Vintage Vogue

The Vintage Vogue-1-Design Crush

I’m admittedly a homebody. I love my home, I love being surrounded by things that hold meaning, and I love spending lots of time with my pets. But as we head into colder weather my time indoors increases even further, and I find myself doing what can only be described as nesting. Padding my space with a few new pretty things as I give it a seasonal deep-cleaning. One shop that’s caught my eye lately is The Vintage Vogue. Charlotte, the artist behind it all, gravitates towards a muted palette and natural materials that I just can’t get enough of.

The Grid Blanket // Glasilium Vase // Birch Knitted Wool Mittens // Storm Wall Hanging

I’d love to pillage the virtual shelves of Fine Little Day! Their carefree, simple philosophy goes a long way to explaining why they choose just what they do to sell in their shop. It’s about enjoying the everyday, not taking ourselves too seriously, and embracing the imperfections in this crazy thing called life.

Perfectly Rumpled Beds

Perfectly Rumpled Beds-1-Design Crush

Photo Dust Jacket

There’s something completely self-gratifying about spying a trend that you’ve been part of for years, decades even. In this case, perfectly rumpled beds. I admit to making my bed every morning but I use that term loosely. Usually I simply make sure the pillows are at the head of the bed then throw the top sheet and duvet up over everything. Somehow at the end of the day that perfectly imperfect looks all the more welcoming.

Haus Candles

Haus Candles-1-Design Crush

You read about a company, you ooh and ahh at the packaging, and then you finally see (smell) it in person and get it. Such was the case with Haus Candles. Each of the their ten scents is named after a type of haus that is the inspiration behind the carefully developed scent. That, partnered with the styling below, has me lock, stock, and barrel.
