Hooray for the weekend! I had plans scheduled but they were cancelled, so now I have two glorious days ahead of me with nothing to do but laundry. And I couldn’t be more thrilled about it! Hopefully I’ll be able to get in some pool time and finish my book somewhere in that tight schedule…

This week has been crazy, but I think I’m beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel – both with work and the mono. I wish my weekend were filled with a backyard soiree like this one, but it isn’t. My plans do include shopping with a friend tomorrow afternoon, house hunting and enjoying the beautiful weather. Not bad by any standards!

This weekend:
• begin refinishing process on an old china cabinet my grandmother gave me
• grocery shopping (this NEEDS to happen – I have nothing!)
• begin my house hunt(!)
• be mono-riffic and rest my little heinie off

This week has flown by and this weekend I’m looking forward to:
• watching the Hornets v. Mavs game tonight with friends
• going to the bank tomorrow morning to talk to my mortgage specialist(!)
• volunteering at the Festival of the Arts tomorrow afternoon
• maybe getting in a little pool time Sunday to decrease my “Pale and Pasty Level”
• re-watching Juno
• catching up on some much needed rest

I’m thrilled that it’s the weekend. I know I had a day and half off this week, but I was sick so those clearly don’t count! I plan on spending some time (okay, a lot of time) catching up on things from the past week or so that have gone neglected. And I also plan on resting a lot since I’m still really tired.
Rest and relaxation generally involve reading for me, but I haven’t come across anything worthwhile recently. Any books I need to know about and grab up asap?

We’ve had such beautiful weather the past few days, it’s been amazing outside. I wish this were my bike – I’d spend tomorrow afternoon riding around the lake. Only after lowering the seat about six inches of course!
I guess St. Patrick’s Day celebrations will have to do instead! I think I can manage…
