Happy Weekend.

This week completely flew by and I don’t get to say that very often. And the past few days of chilly weather and flurries have me amped. I felt like OKC got gipped this winter with little to no snow with the exception of one decent storm. This helped me feel a little better and get a few more days use out of my winter coat!

This Weekend:
• have car washed and detailed (because I plan to…)
• buy a new car! (hopefully) – this or this
• go out for an early St. Patty’s Day celebration
• bake a Root Beer Cake from here
• wash gads of laundry
• call fencers and gutter people for estimates
• continue researching + gathering inspiration for side project

Happy Weekend.

The weather here in OKC has been nothing short of a-maz-ing the past few days and I can hardly wait to get outside and take full advantage of it!

This Weekend:
• car shopping – Anyone head over heels for their car? What make/model is it?
• pick up B’s birthday present
• work on super-secret side project
• buy a new kitchen sink faucet
• hang starburst mirror in master bedroom
• buy wood glue

Happy Weekend.

Friday after work is my absolute favorite time of the week. Hopefully everything has been left at the office and there are two lovely free days staring me right in the face. Usually a sense of anticipation is hanging around wondering what the weekend will hold. I love that feeling.

This Weekend:
• dinner with my mom
• girls’ night
• laundry (it’s sooo bad)
• frame art for the “gallery wall” in my living room
• catch up on some reading!

Whew! Another one bites the dust. These four day work weeks get me all the time. I’m always pumped for the three day weekend, but the abbreviated week that follows is always extra crazy!

This Weekend:
• out with E to meet J
• make Lemon Garlic Tilapia (so easy and YUM!)
• call to wish B a happy birthday
• buy my stepdad’s birthday present
• research new cars (!)

Happy {Valentine’s Day} Weekend.

Sorry for the lack of excitement around here these days. I’m dragging and you’re not the only ones getting left out – I had the best intentions of making some sweet treats to bring into the office for Valentine’s Day. But this cold/plague is still giving me hell and it didn’t happen. Perhaps some belated sweets will be in store for Monday…

This Weekend:
• play Guitar Hero until my eyeballs explode
• laundry (trust me, it’s BAD)
• Saturday night with All the Single Ladies
• bake (belated) V-Day treats
• oil change for my car
• R & R

I’m taking Monday off since our office is closed for President’s Day. And hopefully when I get back Tuesday I’ll be at 100%!

Somehow I’ve managed to catch a cold. BOO!!! I’m hoping some weekend R&R paired with a little alcohol will help to kill it.

Happy {Super Bowl} Weekend.

I have yet to get back into a normal schedule after the holiday madness. Yes, yes, you’re completely right – the holidays were over a month ago. I just can’t seem to make it all the way back into the swing of things regardless. Maybe I’ve just got a case of the Winter Blahs.

This Weekend:
• watch the OKC Thunder game tonight with C
• finish triptych for wall over bed
• laundry(!)
• mail Valentines
• Super Bowl party at B’s (Here we go Steelers!)
• pay speeding ticket (eek!)

Let’s hear it for unexpected three day weekends! Monday is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and our office is closed. Fits into the whole it’s-too-cold-and-I-don’t-want-to-leave-my-house mentality I’ve got going on this week.

• clean house

• watch the Steelers v Ravens game Sunday

I feel like I’ve been in a tornado for the past few weeks! Packing and traveling and unpacking and everything else. I have lots and lots to do this weekend to make up for lost time, but I’m so looking forward to sleeping in…

This Weekend:
• take down outdoor Christmas lights
• buy paint for latest art project
• hang recently framed art
• buy January + February birthday cards
• buy birthday present for my father
• do laundry
• go grocery shopping
• experiment in some retail therapy via gift certificates
