Happy Weekend.

I’ve been putting up a valiant effort in fighting off a cold that’s threatening to take away my weekend, but it seems to be gaining an edge. The achiness has moved in and my willingness to venture out of the house and moved on. If by chance you’re feeling under the weather as well, content yourself from your couch with these lovely links from the past week… Happy Weekend!

**NOTE: Don’t forget, you only have until Monday at 9am to enter the PaPaYa giveway to win a beautiful giclee print from Sabrina Ward Harrison.

mum & lark.

mum & lark is a mother-daughter team who create the most exquisite scarflettes and cowls (among other things). I’d love to get my hot little hands on one! I’ve got to run. I’m busy imagining taking a walk down a leaf-strewn neighborhood street wearing the light grey one…

Happy Weekend.

{Unknown}

Have you been having an amazing first week of fall? I have. Here in Oklahoma we’re experiencing a lot of below average temperatures and I’m soaking up every moment! Not only did I break out the Halloween decorations (fine, that was last week), but some long sleeves, too. Have a fantastic weekend and enjoy this week’s Mad Props!

Benefit’s Erase Paste.

My eyes are fairly deep set and my skin is fair. A lethal combination that makes me look bedraggled even when I’ve had my eight hours and then some. For the past few years I’ve been using Benefit’s eye bright pencil to combat the vampire look, but it just wasn’t cutting it anymore.

So Sunday I set out to Sephora with a mission to conceal. Man, I love walking into that store, it makes me feel like anything is possible. The consultants are always very knowledgeable without being pushy, not at all like car salesmen for your face. I walked out with Benefit’s erase paste. It has a creamy, smooth texture that covers just the right amount and isn’t at all heavy despite the name. Although I’d be kind of lying if I said I didn’t love that it’s called “paste.”

Win It: Rachel Pfeffer Designs.

I love patterns. Especially the organic variety, they just somehow seem so much more magical. The fact that plants and animals are capable of creating such beauty is mind blowing to me! I’m going stretch so far as to say that Rachel Pfeffer probably agrees. She decided to craft this handmade honeycomb necklace after photographing the real thing.

To Enter:
1. Tell me your favorite way to eat honey
2. Leave your email address (those who do now are automatically disqualified)
3. Do it all before Monday, September 28th at 9am CST for a chance to win!

In the meantime, be sure to stop by Rachel’s shop to see her full line of intricate jewelry!

Old Soul, New Heart.

I think it would be safe to say that I want to be Shea of Old Soul, New Heart. She’s gorgeous (seen modeling below), has great style and all of these amazing revived vintage accessories at her disposal. Oh yeah, as well as being ridiculously creative and BFFs with her mom. Girl crush noted.
