The Great Coat Hunt.

It’s finally getting to be coat weather around here! Most Novembers in Oklahoma are filled with lingering 70º days, but this one has been perfect. Highs in the 50s and low 60s, leaves that are almost sort of changing colors instead of going directly to dead brown, and a little bit of overcast dreariness thrown in for good measure. I’ll take it. I’ll also take one each of these coats. Have I never mentioned what a coat whore I am? Oh. Sorry.

MODvintage Frames.

There’s something so much better about nerd glasses being from an honest-to-goodness vintage nerd. I’ve been perusing MODvintage’s killer selection of frames. Bonus, they’re actually affordable. {via For Me, For You}

Underthings.

It’s true, wearing pretty underthings generally makes us ladies feel prettier in general. Possibly superficially sad, but true. I mean just look at those sexy little numbers up there I spied on net-a-porter. Now if only my bank account would catch up to my fashion sense…  {via Greedy Girl}

DIY T-Shirt Aprons.

I love these t-shirt aprons for about 10 zillion reasons.

1. They’re super cute. (Obviously.)
2. They’re easy to make.
3. They’re a great way to save that favorite tee that’s gotten holey.
4. Or take advantage of a great t-shirt sale
5. They’d make an awesome gift.

Okay, five. Five reasons I cannot go on without one.

Let’s Talk Birthdays. And Parties.

{via ffffound}

As in mine is right around the corner, this Thursday as a matter of fact. (My birthday, not my party.) And while I’m not much for extravagant celebrations centered around myself, who doesn’t love the idea of their special day being just that… special. I’m thinking my ideal par-tay might go a little something like this.

I’d definitely need a gorgeous dress (Or two. Or three.). Wardrobe changes are sooo in right now.  Left to right: 3.1 Philip Lim handmade sequined silk dress, alice + olivia dress with organza skirt, Zucca accordion pleat lace detail dress

And of course no party ensemble would be complete without a bit of baubly bling. Left to right: limitless strand necklace + sera petal posts, scintilla triple strand + minted leaf earrings, beaded swag bib necklace + weimar earrings

And although I’ll probably end up barefoot by the end (all good parties end sans shoes), I probably shouldn’t start out that way. Left to right: Clara’s slipper flats, first-glow peep toes, eyelet platforms

Confetti System would of course be in charge of decorating every nook and cranny with sparkly awesomeness.

Shiny happy dinnerware would definitely be in order because we’d have to stop and eat at some point…

… you know, to soak up some of the alcohol. Left to right: brandy milk punch, ginger & lemon beer, hot chambord cider

And there would be lots and lots of cake, more than even I could handle, decorated with these banners.

You’re invited, think you can clear your schedule?

Happy Halloween Weekend!

Hey: Sunday is the last day to sign up for this year’s Calendar Swap! Get on the ball or miss out until next October. (And possibly be wandering around for an entire year in the meantime, clueless as to what month or day it is. But you know, your choice…)

In God We Trust.

I’ve always been drawn to the unique (sometimes wonderfully snarky) handmade pieces In God We Trust creates, but that ring? It had me at hello. It’s even called the Rad Ring. Wish List, meet your newest member.

No. 144 Shoe Clips.

When I first saw these shoe clips from No. 144 I was immediately reminded of a similar thing my mom had when I was a kid. Clip on shoe accessories that breathed a bit of new life into a pair of heels she’d tired of or to match a certain outfit for a special occasion. I wonder why they’ve never been more popular when there’s the chance to make one pair of simple shoes look like ten. Love the bright colors! {via SeeSaw Designs}

Triangles.

When pressed to name my favorite shape I inevitably go with the circle. I like its fluid line, how there’s no real start or end to it all. But these days, at least in my own personal shape race, the triangle is closing the lead. It’s like the more angular, striking sister to the circle and I think I’m ready to have more of her in my life.

Skeleton Apron.

First thought, I’ve been watching way too much Dexter because I automatically think of him when I see a long apron. Second thought, this skeleton apron would come in handy for messy me when I make caramel apples tomorrow night. Third thought, I’m short – I wonder whether or not all the bones would line up correctly?
