There’s something about summer and wearing loads of bracelets that just go together. They just scream bare arms, warm weather, and tan lines – sexy! I love these three wrap bracelets from amore valkyrie, especially the turquoise and orangey-red. They’re made of premium leather cord wrapped in bright 24k gold vermeil, sterling silver and Czech fire-polished beads.
My memories of box braids are neon in color and plastic in texture. I’m thinking I need to replace them with the micro-suede and washer variety. Thanks for coming up with yet another project I can’t wait to conquer, Honestly… WTF!
I love these pieces from Nervous System. Jesse Louis-Rosenberg and Jessica Rosenkrantz find their inspiration from from science, art, and technology and result ends up looking incredibly organic. Practically as though the jewelry is part of your body.
Will and Kate’s wedding is exactly two weeks away. As I mentioned before, I’m sort of pumped and will definitely be in full-on nerd mode. Oh wait, I already am. Only this week did I realize it’s on a Friday (damn Brits) and that I’ll have to get up earlier than usual to watch the festivities. Somehow the idea of setting my alarm for 4am on a Saturday, drinking coffee in bed, and snuggling my pooch sounded better than what what will actually be happening. Me getting ready for work, trying to keep my eyes open, and not spilling coffee on myself.
It figures. It’s at least 80º outside these days and I’m finding the best tights every which way I turn. To that I shake my fist at the heavens and vehemently declare “No fair, Universe. No fair at all.”
Type nerd alert! Check out the Le Bijou Alphabet Ring collection from Axylo. At first glance it’s just another chunky ring, but look a little closer and it’s a letter. All twenty-six are available in different finishes and materials.
This should be the tee every blogger receives once they reach a certain number of posts. I’m not even kidding a little bit. {via Erin Cooper’s Pinterest}
Huge, voluminous, beautiful silk scarves from Forget Me Not. Each one features a hand-drawn design that’s digitally printed in small batches. Endless wearing possibilities for summer – cover up, turban, beach carry-all, etc. {via Dismount Creative}
I hate seasonal shopping. I don’t want to commit to a new coat in August when I’m thinking about cookouts and college football, or a bathing suit in March when my life revolves around comfort food. One thing I am happy about? The resurgence of retro-styled bathing suits adorning the racks this year, I’ve always found them the most flattering and comfortable. My eyes are on the prize.
