4th Amendment Wear is a great project aimed at getting people to think a little more about their Constitutional rights. After the latest wave of TSA measures were put into place, Tim Geoghegan and Matthew Ryan began a silent protest of their own. They found metallic type that could, in theory, show up on TSA scanners that would display the 4th amendment, then inked t-shirts and underwear. A thought-provoking way to fuel the debate about safety vs. civil liberties. {via Josh Spear}
Posted In wear itAs I previously mentioned, this year I’ve abandoned gift guides in favor of cool things. You can simply look at them, put them on your own wish list, or purchase one as a gift if it really fits someone’s style.

Lately I’m really into necklaces. A major case of necklace lust, if you will. I’m also really into organic feeling, vintage, reclaimed pieces. And Species by the Thousands fits the bill on all counts. All of the pieces feel slightly wicked and used to perfection. {via Shiny Squirrel}
Posted In jewelry, wear itI believe in layering. Always, always layer. Because you can always cool down by removing a piece or two, but you can never warm up by adding the imaginary clothing you wished you’d put on while getting dressed. Sweaters are key in my wardrobe for two reasons: 1.) My office is cold no matter the time of year. And 2.) I try to keep heating costs down at home by wearing one in the evenings. Here are a few of my favorites this season.
Left: Asura Sweater, Right: Double-breasted deep-V neck sweater
Left: Hooded vest, Right: APC elbow patch sweater
Left: Merino cowlneck zip sweater, Right: Sailor Collar Cardigan
Left: Tab Closure Sweater Jacket, Right: Twist Front Cardigan
I love a good collaboration that makes me want to drop this month’s mortgage like a hot potato. Enter Verabel and the lovely, the most talented Alyson Fox, and a collection of lockets that any girl would be happy to own a piece of.
