A few weeks ago I received a lovely email from Fréya and immediately fell in love with her beautiful, optimistic illustrations. (She’s also a bird of the feather who got her start in advertising as well!) Her work has graced Cosmo, Waitrose and Business Review Weekly among others. In other words, she rocks so much she’s made a career out of her awesomeness!
And now you have a chance to have it grace the walls of your home. The lovely Fréya is giving away my favorite print – Strange & Magnificent! {Her shop is currently closed because the lucky duck is on vacation, but when it reopens on the 15th please do pop over and see the rest of her inspiring prints.}
To Enter Tell Me:
1. What your favorite personality trait is about yourself
2. Your email address to be notified if you win (those who do not will be disqualified)
3. Do it all before Monday, October 19th at 9sm CST
One winner will be chosen randomly once the giveaway ends. Best of luck!

Ant then there is Chocolate Bliss which is just that, a chocolate lover’s dream come true! Seductive Bossa Nova music is paired with it to put you in the mood for romance.

Posted In food, music, win itWhen I was a kid I wanted to be everything from a flight attendant to a high school art teacher. Around 16 I fell in love with graphic design and I’m happy to say that I get to live my dream every day! Thanks so much for sharing your childhood dreams and aspirations and entering the giveaway. Also, a big thanks to PaPaYa and Sabrina Ward Harrison for giving away this pretty giclee print!

I first learned of PaPaYa a few years ago and have been impressed by their wide array of unique art and paper goods ever since. Founded by mother-daughter team Gina and Anahata Katkin in 2003, the company is centered around global culture, strong images and bright colors. Creative abandon is their company credo and I can’t think of anything better to live by.
PaPaYa launched a blog in August that’s full of daily inspiration from a group of talented contributors. It also boasts a large selection of resources to link to your heart’s content!
This week’s giveaway is the beautifully abstract Make Believe giclee (pronounced “gee-clay”) by artist Sabrina Ward Harrison. Giclee canvas prints are brimming over with vibrant colors and a richer feel than traditional art prints. Make Believe measures 14″ x 28″ and is mounted on sturdy panels, so comes ready to hang.

Thanks so much to all of you who entered, I absolutely loved reading all of the ways you enjoy eating honey and can’t wait to try many of them myself! My favorite? It’s a toss-up between stirring it into hot tea with lots of lemon and putting gobs of it on peanut butter and honey sandwiches. I’d also like to send out a big thank you to Rachel for putting this much sought after necklace up for grabs!

I love patterns. Especially the organic variety, they just somehow seem so much more magical. The fact that plants and animals are capable of creating such beauty is mind blowing to me! I’m going stretch so far as to say that Rachel Pfeffer probably agrees. She decided to craft this handmade honeycomb necklace after photographing the real thing.
To Enter:
1. Tell me your favorite way to eat honey
2. Leave your email address (those who do now are automatically disqualified)
3. Do it all before Monday, September 28th at 9am CST for a chance to win!
In the meantime, be sure to stop by Rachel’s shop to see her full line of intricate jewelry!
Posted In jewelry, wear it, win itCongrats Michael! And thanks a million to Sarah for sponsoring such a fun and revealing contest.
My favorite photo of myself? This one. Taken by my dad’s best friend on a walk. Funny how the people who capture the best side of you are usually ones who know you so well.
