Popsicles + Poptails ’13

Our summer popsicle and poptail roundup is sort of legendary. Each year without fail it ends up being one of the highest viewed posts, and we love that because who doesn’t love popsicles?!? This year we’ve rounded up 54 of the tastiest frozen treats on a stick you’ve ever seen. Some are simple, some are definitely culinary experiences, and others are adults only. Hope you enjoy! (Psst… you can check out past years pops here, here, and here.)

Medius Collection

Stone&Honey-Medius-Design-Crush

Stone & Honey‘s S/S 2013 collection has been on my mind for awhile. I love how this new group of jewelry – Medius – has taken their last collection and kept some of my favorite elements, like the woven linen accents. All 14 pieces would be lovely paired together or matched up with jewelry you already own. My favorites are above, and I’m already looking forward to the fall/winter collection!

DODOnotes

DODOcase-2-Design-Crush

DODOcase and Mohawk Paper have teamed up to create a notebook that’s also a case for your iPhone. DODOnotes is rocking my world, because though I rely on my phone for a lot I still prefer paper for note taking. I never use the Notes app and instead carry bundles of lists, which can make for a big mess in my small purse. Looks like my problem is solved in a clean old-school-meets-modern way!

Feliz

Feliz-1-Design Crush

Are you brave enough to bring some neon into your home? The trend doesn’t seem to be going anywhere, and I for one am a-okay with it! These killer bedding pieces from Australia-based Feliz pack the perfect sized punch that won’t make your room look too kiddy or teeny bopper. The white acts as a neutral to even out the look, and I gotta say I’m feelin’ it! (via Anthology)

PS: I know the last one is gold not neon, but I couldn’t resist!

When money is tight you don’t necessarily have to break the bank for an exotic vacation – check out The Scent of Departure. A line of perfume that endeavors to capture the spirit of twenty world-class cities through scent! The packaging is along for the journey, slender bottles issued with the three-letter tag that accompanies luggage on every plane trip. Now to decide which city to visit first…

Design Crush + Anthropologie + Oklahoma

Antrhopologie-String-Art-Workshops-Design-Crush

Today I’m thrilled to announce a collaboration between Design Crush and Anthropologie to help raise money for the rebuilding of Plaza Towers and Briarwood Elementary Schools! The tornadoes that swept through my town of Oklahoma City last month have left not only a hole in our community, but in my heart. I’m lucky that my own part of town was left unscathed, but not everyone was that lucky. And it seems like the children got hit extra hard this time around with not one, but two elementary schools bring leveled by the May 20th twister.

And that’s where you, my fellow Oklahoma City dwellers, come in.

On the evenings of June 26th and 27th I’ll be leading a String Art Workshop at the Classen Curve Anthropologie location. From 6 to 8pm come hang out! For a suggested donation of $15 that will go towards Build a Classroom’s Donate For OK campaign, you’ll enjoy delicious refreshments, do a little mingling, then sit down and create some string art that I promise you’re going to love.

I’m looking forward to these workshops more than words can say and I hope to see you there! Spaces are limited, so please RSVP to oklahomacityps@anthropologie.com as soon as you decide to join us for this community event.
