Charles Chocolates.

The packaging on Charles Chocolates confections is very tasty. It doesn’t help that Pate de Fruit is one of my favorite things ever and looks so good on this overcast afternoon of officedom.

Paolo Serraro.

When I first saw the work of illustrator Paolo Serraro of Milan, I was completely taken aback by her use of brilliant colors with stark black and white drawings. I found it interesting that Serraro has her Masters in interior design because I find her work very similar in nature to to the sketches interior designers and architects present to clients. This, above all else, seems to influence her illustrations.

ATYPYK.

I came across ATYPYK about a month ago on my daily web search and was really impressed with their ability to find design that is both conceptual and useful. With the holidays right around the corner they offer a plethora of unique gifts that will be sure to have the recipient asking “Where did you find this?!”

Clockwise from upper left: Pause bookmark, Bullseye bib, Book cutting board, Bzzz fly swatter, Ticket bookmark, Future-telling coffee cup.

Paillettes Table Runners.

I’ve been meaning to post about these Paillettes table runners for a while now because I love them. I’m of the opinion that they could be dressed up or down depending on what kind of get-together you’re having. It’s a bonus that they are re-usable and can be either hand-washed or wiped up with a sponge. The runners (63 x 10″) are sold in pairs of color combos: melon/apple or raspberry/blush for $25.

De Luxe Plastic Cutlery.

There was a time in my life when I believed that everything kitchen-related should be plastic. I’m happy to have outgrown that phase, however this De Luxe plastic cutlery from Pandora fits right into that mind-set. I’m loving these translucent utensils that have modern-baroque embossing on their handles. Colors available include green, purple, red and blue (apparently no pink, orange, or clear any longer) and are £15 per set.

Leather-Bound Merriam-Webster Dictionary.

I never really buy anything leather. Partially out of inner-turmoil about inhumane animal treatment and partially because it never really appeals to me all that much.

Right now though I’m having a horrible time talking myself out of this leather-bound Merriam-Webster dictionary available at Graphic Image. I’m loving the look of the crocodile-embossed italian calfskin, but having major issues accepting it. If only they could make a faux version I’d be sold!

Bambu White Rum.

Today may as well have been a Monday because it wasn’t good like Tuesdays generally tend to be. That means I could definitely use a cocktail when I get home tonight and I’m thinking this Bambu white rum is looking particularly yummy. Maybe something end-of-summer like a pina colada (even though I’m not generally a Girly Drink kinda gal). Whatever the drink, this bottle design is incredible. I love the mimicry of the bamboo shoot on the glass. This one would definitely be a keeper after the fact.

Dew Drop Necklace.

One of my very favorite necklaces in my jewlery box is in the shape of a teardrop. There’s something very chic and modern about it.

This Dew Drop Necklace ($35) at Modishoppe is going on my Wish List. It’s actually a piece of copper with layers of robin’s egg blue glass enamel fused onto it. Basically a two-for-one since the backside is the copper itself. Completely reversible.
