I’ve kept my eye on pingg ever since their debut. And now that they’re offering a Designer Series from artists like the lovely Lisa Rupp I’m even more on board. Beautiful work, Lisa! {via That’s Happy}
As if Liberty of London pairing up with Target this month wasn’t enough to get my heart beating faster, they’ve also teamed with MAC cosmetics for an unbelievable bright and edgy line of makeup. The packaging even celebrates LoL’s most famous prints. Sign me up!
I feel like I post something about Penguin almost every other week, but it’s just because they’re that on top of things. Like this collaboration with Project (RED) and a team of obviously talented designers. Eight covers were given the once over, replacing the classic black band with red and using a memorable quote from the book as the main visual.
I’m very intrigued by artist Bobby Neel AdamsAge Maps project. By splicing together two photos of the same person – as child and adult – Adams’ has created a visual time jump. Lovely. {via d.Sharp}
I’m really looking forward to the Liberty of London for Target release March 14th, but when it comes right down to it I’ve only got eyes for this bicycle! I haven’t owned one since college and I’m thinking it might just be the springtime gift I’m looking for to buy myself.
Simon Attwater’s Shopping Losts are brilliant, genius and all of the above. He collects pieces of this and that, amongst them lost shopping lists that he turns into little treasures reflective of the originals. Misspellings, crossed out items and all.
I can’t stop thinking about photographer James Reynolds’ series on former Death Row prisoners’ requests for their last meal before execution. From the full friend chicken dinner to the lone olive to the onion with a pack of mint gum. Morbidly fascinating.
The Moment Jars is a breathtaking project that’s a collaborative effort book. Visit the site and put your own moment in a jar. A fitting way to kick off 2010, no? {via swissmiss}
