Old-timey vintage type is one of my (many) admitted weaknesses. These Folk Banner cards hit the spot – they’re printed individually on a Vandercook letterpress, giving each that perfectly textured and nostalgic look.

A few weeks ago Pantone released their color predictions for Spring 09 and I have to say, I’m really in love with most of them.
“Spring traditionally evokes a sense of freshness and new beginnings, with sprouting shoots and blossoming flowers that inspire designers to breakout of the winter doldrums. Bright colors return to the top 10 list for spring ’09, as designers incorporate vibrant pops into their collections, yet temper the vibrancy with deeper, translucent or neutral tones.”
I’m loving these line drawings by Robert Samuel Hanson. Nothing like animating something stationary to pique my interests and simultaneously freak me out. (Just a little.)
I’ve grown herbs before but always neglect to use them. And then I feel guilty. I love that the Herb Stand put herbs and scissors in the same place – making it way more probable that I’d use both. And that’s not even the end of the functionality story – the pots are also easy to separate or attach to one another.
