I’m swooning over this piece by Kurt Halsey Frederiksen. He can make feet look attractive – a major plus for this foot-a-phobe!

Posted In create, illustrationJust as I was starting to write this post I realized I’ve developed a sort of fascination with electrical outlets. No, not in a “Wonder what will happen if I just stick this fork…” sort of way. More of a sick obsession with their functionality. My latest? This rotating outlet. Perfect for when you need to plug your hairdryer and cell charger (or anything else with two of those big ‘ol boxy plugs) into the same place at the same time.
Posted In features, grand design, house and home, technologyI’ve seen the work of Wilhelm Staehle and his Silhouette Masterpiece Theatre floating around for some time now and am crazy for it. So quirky, so funny.

The utensils in Sagaform’s snack set remind me of those super sweet triangular tri-color highlighters from grade school. But you know, more functional.
Posted In grand design, kitchenIf Zoe Bradley has a signature, it is most definitely dramatic silhouettes. Bradley’s work combines sculpture, fashion and theater to create headpieces, dresses, and sets for ad campaigns, editorials, catwalk shows and window installations. All created with high quality papers and touches of fabric. The woman is quite simple this: Absofreakinamazing.
Posted In create, paperDesigner Martina Carpelan took sleeping (or a lack thereof) to the next level with the creation of her Rise and Sigh bed sheets.
Rise and sigh is a collection of revealing bed sheets that plays with incidents often taking place in hotels. Different sleeping positions give different imprints on the sleepers’ body. The imprints give you a hint about last night’s atmosphere, suggest you what to do and tell things about you.The Rise and sigh collection consists of three embroidered bed sets; for the bachelor, for the love affair and for the one night stand.

I had a bit of a reality check last Friday in the time department. As in we don’t really have all that much of it to our name. Makes me love this Time Will Destroy You woodblock print that much more.
