Artist Elsa Mora was born into poverty in Cuba and believes she changed her future by imagining a better destiny. I love that. Today she lives in Los Angeles and creates beautifully intricate art using only paper and glue. Never believe anyone who tells you your mind isn’t a powerful thing! Nathalie Boutté‘s paper art is one of those things I look at and wish that I had created. Nathalie builds up each collage piece with layer after layer of long, narrow strips of paper that ultimately end up creating a feathered effect that’s forever evolving through movement.
I’ve been admiring Jozef Mvra’s mask creations from afar for sometime. According to Jozef, they’re created in cardboard in a primitive manner because their primary intention is fun via an exploration of identity. Looks like a blast to me, which one would you choose?
