He’s Just Not That Into You.

Is anyone else going to see He’s Just Not That Into You this weekend?

The first time I saw the preview for the movie (I’m one of only, like, 5 gals I know who haven’t read the book.) my jaw was quite literally sitting on the floor. Because I’ve been all of those women – who hasn’t?

My So-Called Life.

I broke out in goosebumps when I tripped across this clip from the best TV series ever – My So-Called Life. It brought back memories of early high school and my best friend and I sitting in my bedroom watching this very scene over and over (and over) again. I still have this episode on video (yes, I said video) and refuse to part with it. I really need to get my hand on the full series – it’s available on DVD now which would help bring me up to date!

Swoon with me, won’t you…

Mankind is No Island.

Mankind Is No Island is a short film that explores a global social issue using nothing more than a mobile phone, found typography and a simple soundtrack. Last month it took home the big prize at Tropfest NY, the world’s largest short film festival.

Beautifully executed and sufficiently depressing. {Thanks Chris!}

Rapid Change in Design.

Rapid Change in Design (The Changing Landscape & New Rules for Design Project) is a side job my co-worker, Chris, put together in collaboration with our design shop, Hester Designs. I really dig his graphics and the viewpoint that the ultimate goal behind any design – graphic, architectural, web, etc – is to solve a problem. Not design for the sake of designing. Take a look-see and put in your two cents on the topic!

Design is a continuous evolution. Things are changing at rapid speeds, and rapid change calls for us to change the way that we design. This project looks to stimulate that change.

I don’t know what it is about the show Greek, but I’m absolutely obsessed with it and tune in religiously every Monday for my guilty fix. Has anyone else tuned in?
