Australian ceramic artist Sharon Muir creates stunning earthy yet graphic vessels. The stark blacks and whites she favors really standout against the terra cotta clay. Instant classics and/or heirlooms I’d bet.

The Guerrero Wedge is an age old solution with a modern look. The sleek geometric shape and vibrant colors are just the solution I need for all of the wonky doors in my old home. Bonus: it’ll look just as good as a paperweight or objet on a shelf.
Little Korboose, the name a nod to modern architect Le Corbusier, is helmed by April Nemeth. The line draws on modern, minimalist design traditions, with a distinctively playful twist. My favorite pieces are dish towels, but be sure and check out the fun kid’s line as well.
I have a few lovely glazed pieces in my home, but recently I’ve found myself drawn to the look even more. Reiko Kaneko designs fine bone china in elegant, functional shapes; glassware and terracotta that is beautifully thin and light; and pure white china dipped in rich glazes. And I love that there’s constant experimentation in the studio with new reactive glazes!
Nynne Rosenvinge is a Danish brand by a Copenhagen-based artist/designer of the same name. The shop’s virtual walls are filled with interior objects and art that are all produced in Denmark. My favorites can be seen above and below.

Light and Ladder excels on one particular point that I consider in every purchase for my home – elevating the everyday through beauty and function. The Brooklyn-based design studio strives to create objects that are thoughtful, useful, and made to last through inspiration from simplicity of the natural world and the geometric lines of the modern city. I’d call the union a wild success.
Dino Sanchez’s One Off Goods is a beautifully crafted collection of one-of-a-kind leather and wooden goods. Each piece is so thoughtfully designed and executed that his work is sure to gather heirloom status from each proud owner.
Long Island City’s Romi Hefetz is the talent behind the self-named Romi Ceramics. Take a peek at her lovely and modern selection of signature porcelain housewares, each piece created and finished by hand. These envelope vases in Romi’s Etsy shop are calling my name!
January is not only the coldest, but the month demanding the highest level of coziness. Thankfully Snowe recently released the perfect throw blanket for the job. I’ve been carrying it from room to room for the past week as I work through my day, because it’s just that functional and versatile. It’s a great throw to curl up with during a nap, and the super luxe cashmere, merino lambswool. and silk feel as amazing as they sound.
I’ve been trying to get back into my reading groove in the new year. This throw is the perfect thing to curl up with in my favorite chair – just add a book and a steaming mug of tea! Not only does this beauty look seamless in my living room, it’s also static resistant so it attracts less… like my pups’ hair.
