Holy realism. Gregory Thielker’s Under the unminding sky series are oil paintings, not photographs. Worth a second look, yes?

Posted In create, paintingIt’s funny to say, but dish towels are a big trend right now. Beautifully designed ones are everywhere. And any time there’s a clever way to squeeze more art into my life I’m on board. Charlotte Farmer partnered with To Dry For on these, the latest (maybe slightly too late) addition to my Christmas List. {via Eat Drink Chic}

+ What a clever idea, a holiday Sputnik mobile.
+ Have you seen this art made entirely out of typewriter letters and punctuation marks? Genius.
+ Cute holiday cookie stencils to download.
+ Thinking about this recipe for Bacon and Egg Soup!
+ If you’re late on your holiday cards maybe consider sending out Happy New Year cards instead.

+ Love this father/son art blog.
+ Pouring through this from What Katie Ate.
People are either strictly pro or strictly con when it comes to eggnog, and I can see why. Raw eggs? Not so appealing. I reside firmly in the pro category, but have yet to make my own. The only thing I love more than my favorite things are when two of my favorites get together and make something incredible. In this case paper and tattoos. Jacob Dahlstrup uses a tattoo gun on rag paper to create the most beautiful blind images. Take a look at how he does it here. {via d.Sharp Journal}

My favorite wine glasses are a kelly green set that have a tulip-shape and an out-turned lip. Fitting for any season or occasion really. But it would be lovely to own their opposite, too. A set of pale pink On the Rise wine glasses that are perfectly round and bulbous and comforting to hold.
