Posted In recipesI’m an admitted notebook-a-holic and the little guys from Five and a Half are some of the best I’ve seen. Love the kitschy photography that adorns the cover of each one and I always have a tough time saying no to dessert.
Posted In notebooks + journals, paper goodsHandmade of natural bamboo, these Tribacchetta 3-legged chopsticks are shaped like forceps and make eating Asian cuisine easy. Equally useful as a serving utensil for tiny appetizers! And I’m 99% sure I’d look way more adept using these than the usual suspects.
Posted In grand design, kitchenSeriously, we don’t. But I’ve worked somewhere that does and I swear it makes me more productive!
Posted In monday goodnessMy plans for the next two days consist of the latter.
Happy Weekend to you all!

Posted In happy weekendJenni, drop me an email with your mailing information and I’ll get your loot sent out asap!! Thanks so much to everyone for participating and to the always amazing Beth for donating some incredible pieces I wish I could keep for myself! I should also give out thanks to Chris who picked the winner and made an excellent hand model. Stay tuned for the next Win It!
Posted In win itI will say it again and again (and again for good measure): turn something that serves one purpose into something that serves another and I think it’s genius.
Case in point: the skateboard clutch purse or aptly named Sk8 Bag. For every bag purchased designer Beck(y) donates $3 to various organizations dedicated to building and maintaining skateparks across the country. So cool, so cool.
Posted In bags, wear itThese Apple and Cider Beignets have been on my To Make list for quite some time now. If you’re not familiar with beignets, they resemble a slightly doughier version of a doughnut and are so, so delicious. The addition of some fruit only makes them healthier, right??
Posted In recipesI’ve come to the conclusion that I need a folding tray table. You just can’t go wrong with versatility like that. The Nicobar folding tray table from Ballard Designs is my favorite so far. It unfolds for easy set up and has a removable tray top with separate spaces for bottles and glassware. Entertainment on the fly – love it!
Posted In furniture, grand design, house and homeBook Smarts is a series of three books – The Truth About Nothing, Semi-Survival Guide to the Future and Words of Finite Wisdom – by Anthony Burrill that had me cracking up at my desk this morning. Anyone who can make me laugh that hard makes me instantly like them. I’d love to own a set of these bad boys.
UPDATE: After posting this, Anthony himself contacted me. He saw that I was a fan of the band Reindeer Section and shared a video he made for them and their song You Are My Joy. So, so good it left me a little happy/sad! Check it out here.
