when i was younger i was always amazed at how two bars of a song could play on the radio and my dad would suddenly say “summer of 74” and then sigh or something. i always wondered how he could know so specifically when that song came out.
but as i got older i began to understand and now i feel the same…each song takes you back somewhere – it’s incredible!

I loved Just Listen! Luckily, I was Anabel’s age (or maybe a little younger) when I read it first, and I could totally relate to the character!
