I’m a big fan of artist Emily Barletta‘s work. I mean, anyone who has the level of patience it takes and the talent to conceive of such intricate art sewn on paper deserves lots of love and admiration. The close-ups tell the whole story.
I’m a firm believer that desk and office accessories should not only be functional but fun. I love the graphic treatment that each one of these Tower Blocks Paper Notes received, and am 99% positive I would arrange them all in a skyline on my desk. (via bltd)
These Bunkai Pierce colored and patterned earrings look like they were made for summer and spring! Each one is made from separate layers of transparent colored acrylic that only create their bright designs when brought together. They must feel like wearing air, so light.
LSTN Headphones proves a great point, why are so many instruments made of wood and headphones are not? The recycled wooden chambers in these brilliantly constructed headphones lend a warm and natural sound that produces more resonance than plastic or metal. The ebony, cherry, and beech woods come from furniture scraps that would otherwise be discarded and are never dyed. You can choose from three different styles – The Troubadour, The Fillmore, and The Bowery. Oh, and one more thing that will make you fall even more in love. Every time a pair of LSTN Headphones are purchased, all proceeds go towards their charity partners for the deaf and a child with hearing difficulties is helped.
Did you have a sticker book when you were a kid? Oh, the 80s. I remember mine had a foiled purple cover and was bound with a yellow spiral. My babysitter, Brenda, used to bring hers over for me to look at and she had the coolest bandaid sticker. So what went into my sticker book? An actual Band-Aid. Yup. These beautiful stickers from Teva Gallery are created from the artist’s watercolor work and would definitely have a place of pride.
