Giant Anchor Cross-Stitch

A cardinal rule I was taught in graphic design is that when something isn’t quite working for you play with scale. Make it really big, make it super tiny. Play around. That rule also applies to other forms of design, like this giant anchor cross-stitch. I love how modern it feels, all while redeeming a quirky sense of humor.

Bottle Humidifier

Though this winter has been so mild, my skin has been ridiculously dry. It was suggested (after copious amounts of moisturizing) that I get a humidifier to add some extra moisture into the air. The thing is… most are hideous. At least most that I can actually afford. My ideal would be something like this Bottle Humidifier designed by cloudandco. It’s the perfect mix of form and function, and wouldn’t look the slightest bit ridiculous when not in use. (via core77)

Finally

I’ve been chugging along with my iPhone 3 for a few years now, and to say it was dragging would be a bit of an understatement. Half of my apps wouldn’t even work on it any longer because the phone couldn’t handle the updates. So last weekend I pulled the trigger and upgraded to the white 4S. And it’s amazing, but you probably already know that. Uncommon was kind enough to send me this case by artist Marco Cibola a few months ago, and I may have been more excited to finally have a phone to put the case on than to actually have the phone! It’s beautiful.
