Posted In downloads, graphic design, monday goodnessIt would be fair to say the second I saw Lotta Nieminen’s illustrations I became instantly obsessed with her flat style. It lacks any dimension, yet is chalk full of details and fantastic color combinations. She has a lovely eye for design. {via Kitsune Noir}
Posted In create, illustrationA self-proclaimed treasure hunter, Alexandra emailed me last week to share her new venture – Blue Carrot Shop. It’s full of all her great finds, everything from housewares to the handmade. My favorite section is letterpress. I’d love to have a bit of wall filled with beautiful wood type.
Posted In graphic designLoving the hand-drawn type in these pieces by Caisee Montgomery of Maddox + Klaus. {via design is mine}
Posted In create, illustrationBanter Banners are the more creative sister of the classic ‘Happy Birthday’ banner and perfectly acceptable to leave hanging year round. Love. {via greedy girl}

Posted In blog love, create, downloads, gifts, happy weekend, make it, photographyI’ve never really been a comic girl, but for these vintage posters by Michael Myers no, not that Michael Myers I think I could make an exception. Myers features popular comic book characters as vintage feeling posters, right down to the aged paper and fold marks. {via paper crave}
Posted In postersEasily the coolest fish bowl I’ve ever seen, Fishcondo is a geometric fish bowl that resembles a condo for your aquatic companion. Stack a few together for a condo-like appearance. A glass bowl is surrounded by a white shell and can be easily removed for cleaning. Fishy not included. Definitely makes me want a fish for my desk at work! {via Rare Bird Finds}
Posted In grand design, petsI’m lusting after this print by Emily Martin of The Black Apple. It’s such a great quote by Morrissey and I love her whimsical artistic interpretation of it. Psst… she’s giving one away on her blog right now!
Posted In paper goodsI really do, to the point of organized obsession really. The I Heart Lists set consists of nine tablets for list lovers. Each one is bound matchbook style with a foot and a half of accordion folded paper inside. All nine come packaged in a muslin drawstring bag. {via mint}
