Plan 9000.1.

I’m not a math or science girl by any mean, although I did take AP Bio, thankyouverymuch. But I can’t help loving a good, smart art diagram. Lucky for me 9 0 0 0‘s photostream is overflowing with them. (Pssst… the first one is my very favorite!)

Mawok.

Leave it to the Swedish to design something so simple and genius. Check out Mawok. It’s supposed to replace your baby’s crib and be their first bed. You can put it right next to your bed where you can monitor them or just reach out to rock them to sleep. There’s also a version that hangs over doors. And it’s portable, so you can take it on visits or vacations. So smart.

Naomi.

I’m loving Naomi Murrell’s sweet little shop, simply called Naomi. It’s filled with fun, bright designs that I can’t get enough of. And I have to say that I also love the way she photographs her pieces – each one is a little study in color!

Book City Jackets.

I think I’d slap a few of these updated schoolbook covers on my favorites of the moment and put them on my coffee table. I love kraft paper so these Book City Jackets are right up my little alley! You can pick up your own set of three for $9.

Babel.

Babel is genius design. I know that I always have important scraps of paper on my desk that get misplaced. I think this just might inspire me enough to get organized and show off my scraps in style!

Win It: Courtney Khail Stationery and Design.

The uber-talented and sweet Courtney Khail emailed me last week to share her line of stationery and invitations and I fell. Hard. I was even more thrilled when she agreed to do a giveaway of the stationery set of your choice!

Courtney Khail Stationery and Design was born when Courtney herself was attempting to choose invitations for her own wedding. Needless to say, nothing sufficed and she took matters into her own hands! Each 100% cotton card combines hand drawn illustrations, printmaking, and watercolor to produce an individual hand painted work of art where no two are exactly the same. I absolutely love that.

So here are the deets. Visit Courtney Khail Stationery and Design, then comment back here with which stationery set you’d like to win and why. The contest will close next Monday, March 30th at noon CST. (This contest is only open to those living in the U.S.) A winner will be chosen randomly once the contest closes. Good luck!

Tea Bag Coffin.

Out of sight, out of mind. Brilliant design from Jonas Trampedach.

Where Do tea bags go to die?. Usually squashed on the side of the saucer next to the cup, or if you have a little less decorum the table will probably be just fine. Jonas Trampedach has been observing the behaviour of tea drinkers and has evidently been learning a lot. Consequently he has developed a solution to the bag dilemma that is as simple as it is ingenious. With the ‘Tea bag Coffin’, the drinker can tidily bury the bag under the cup and out of the way. RIP.
