My Valentines.

This year I decided to go old school with my valentines. As in the cut and paste variety. About a month ago I bought the sweetest plate at Target featuring these two little love birds and decided to rip off the idea (*gasp*). But rest assured that the actual pattern making, cutting and pasting were all the work of yours truly!

RoundUp: Valentine’s Day Gifts, Ideas + Stuff.

World’s Smallest Postal Service.
Here’s how it works: You write a letter and I transcribe it onto tiny stationary (1 x 1.5 inches) with a magical transcription device. It then goes into a tiny envelope which gets addressed, stamped, and sealed with a miniscule wax seal with your initial on it. The letter then goes into a see-through folded coin case and is packaged up with a magnifying glass in a larger glassine envelope, finished off with a large “World’s Smallest Letter” wax seal. It is then put in a sturdy mailer for shipping.

Two of a Kind. (via Josh Spear)
Many rings have been exchanged that symbolize a bond between two people… but few come close to the Two of the Kind ring in the romance department. Delivered in one piece, it’s meant to be broken by you and a loved one into two, perfectly matched rings. That way, when together, you really do “complete each other”.

Every Drop Counts.

The first in a series by artist Ayda Anlagan.

Every Drop Counts is a series of bowls where the bottom of the bowl is subtly inclined to create a whole new way of getting people to finish every last drop. With stories which end at the bottom of the food or with graphic narratives which conclude where the food accumulates, the user is encouraged to finish every last drop. It is the first of a series of objects which are designed to contribute in the reduction of food wastage in the domestic environment.

He’s Just Not That Into You.

Is anyone else going to see He’s Just Not That Into You this weekend?

The first time I saw the preview for the movie (I’m one of only, like, 5 gals I know who haven’t read the book.) my jaw was quite literally sitting on the floor. Because I’ve been all of those women – who hasn’t?

My Life Story.

I love the idea of one diary for your entire life. Baby book, journals, keepsakes – all in one book, in one place. My Life Story – the 100 year diary – does just that for you. I imagine it would be fantastically tattered and worn by the end…

Able and Game’s Valentines.

Even though I hadn’t yet seen these snazzy valentines from Able and Game when I posted the roundup, these totally deserve their own shout out. Loving the descriptions for each card! (No worries, they’re blank on the inside.)

Description:
So I got your mix tape, it kinda rocked my world. The fact that you included The Smiths, The Cure makes me all warm inside, however this may not show on my sullen, depressed face. Oh and I also love Kate Bush by the way; just don’t tell any of my friends.
Description:
Okay, I have a confession to make; there is nobody else on the list!
Description:
You’re All Sorts of Lovely. You wash my clothes; cook me my dinner and rent Bring It On on DVD when I’m feeling unwell.

Description:
How else, besides getting married are we going to prove our love? Signing both our names on an 18-month interest free loan says you’re in it for long haul baby. The only thing we need to decide on is front loader or top???
