Calendar of Matches.

Talk about watching time burn! When I first saw this calendar made of matches by designer Yurko Gutsulyak (for VS Energy International Ukraine Financial industrial group) I was in completely awe of the sheer genius behind the product.

“The idea was to create as unique a calendar so that the process of its presenting would become an outstanding event. Alongside with this, it was important to expose the idea of “energy”, as it is predetermined by the name and logo of the company. Each page is a month and it looks like a comb made of matches that correspond to the days. The matches are real and the construction of the calendar is absolutely safe.”

PossibiliTree.

Ornaments are the real stars of a Christmas tree, so why not show them off more on the PossibiliTree? Oh, and the simplicity and storage are lovely, too!

Twenty-five years ago, architect Richard Babcock had an idea: Rather than buying, hauling and disposing of a Christmas tree every year, why not create a tree his family could use year after year? The six-foot wooden tree he created back then is still used by his family today. The PossibiliTree shown here is a tabletop version, standing almost three feet tall, with branches that can be fanned out in various ways. The tree is easily assembled and disassembled. The pieces can be stored in the original packaging – a tube, similar to the ones used by architects to hold drawings.

Keru Keru.

Cool kitchen gadgets knock my socks off. The latest is Keru Keru. Just pour your liquid ingredient of choice into the glass bottle and you’re all set.

The ideal product for those who like to whizzz around in the kitchen, whipping up multi course feasts, know that a table spoon of oil here and a bit of soy there is the standard procedure. One is constantly in need of some liquid and that means open bottle, close bottle, open bottle, close bottle and anybody who has ever spilled a bottle of Thai fish sauce know of the importance of a properly closed bottle.
