Tag Team Tompkins creates hand lettered, paper cut art featuring some of my favorite things. Quotes. These would perfect for Halloween, don’t you think? {via Paper Crave}
I promised, no swore, to myself that I wouldn’t post anything Halloween-related until October 1st. And then I saw these hand-painted cards from Rifle Paper Co. and all bets went out the window. Like, for serious.
The skull spoon is a vintage sterling or silver-plated tea or tablespoon transformed via Dremel tool, buffing wheel, jewelers rouge and imagination by artist Pinky Diablo (aka Tom Sale). To say I’m obsessed would be an understatement.

Last year was one of the first in my life that I didn’t carve a jack-o-lantern to light up on Halloween night. I don’t want to end up in the same place again come Saturday, but time is running short and I’m a busy gal. There are lots of carveless pumpkin ideas floating around out there, but these two in particular might be just what the doctor ordered for my front porch!
I’ve been staring at Chris Ware’s Halloween cover for the New Yorker off and on over the past few days and have decided I love it. Very, very much so in fact. Definitely enough to want a print of it. {via Boing Boing}
At my house it’s become a bit of a tradition to experiment with a new cocktail as soon as the last trick-or-treater leaves and the porch light goes out. So in typical On the Rocks fashion, I’ve rounded up some tasty libations in honor of October 31st!
