Brooklyn Toile

Mike Diamond was always my favorite Beastie Boy, and now if it’s possible maybe even more so. Because the dude created his own French toile-inspired wallpaper featuring all things Brooklyn (think the Notorious B.I.G., Coney Island, and Hasidic Jews) when he wanted something that didn’t exist for his brownstone. Mike D teamed up with Revolver New York to make Brooklyn Toile happen and then put it on sale for the rest of us through Flavor Paper. (via Design Bureau)

Icebox Easy

When in the midst of a heatwave, the last thing anyone really wants to do is turn on the oven. But when the urge for something sweet hits you, well something just needs to be done. Enter icebox desserts. Super popular in the 1920s, they’re easy to make and sit overnight in the fridge. Quite the sweet tooth saver and I love their striations when sliced up and served.

Sladle + Stabber

Sharon Myoung and Tony Kim get so many points for the Sladle & Stabber. Let’s start with the name, which is undeniable genius. Then there is their idea to combine indoor and outdoor objects into a sort of hybrid utensil. Last, let’s not forget the overlook the crazy-smart design.

According to Sharon and Tony, it’s this easy to use:
1. Scavenge for a stick. Fight off a bear while doing so.
2. Shave/trim off edges(if need be) to fit snug into the diameter of Hexagon Nut.
3. Rotate & Screw to the neck of either utensils!

Mobile Foodie Survival Kit

Part of me thinks the Mobile Foodie Survival Kit is mind-blowing, the other part is mildly embarrassed of the first part. The portable kit includes Sea Salt, Black Pepper, Cayenne, Onion, Basil, Conventional Wasabi, Cinnamon, Oregano, Garlic, Thyme, Curry, Ginger, and Dill.

For foodies, nothing is scarier than being in a strange place where you’re subject to sub-par food. The horror! With this handy Mobile Foodie Survival Kit, you can doctor up even the most repulsive meal. Stocked with organic herbs and spices, plus indispensable extras like wasabi. Containers are unlabeled so they can be re-used for your favorite spices (separate key included).
