Happy Weekend.

{Unknown}

Have you been having an amazing first week of fall? I have. Here in Oklahoma we’re experiencing a lot of below average temperatures and I’m soaking up every moment! Not only did I break out the Halloween decorations (fine, that was last week), but some long sleeves, too. Have a fantastic weekend and enjoy this week’s Mad Props!

The Daily Eat: Mocha Cake + Coffee Roundup.

Is this Mocha Cake even possible? It’s an explosion of chocolately goodness that’s also low in sugar. Be still my heart!

Classic With a Twist.

This is actually more of a House Swoon. I love the classic structure of this Charleston, South Carolina home that has a few unexpected elements thrown in. Like the double staircase to the front door and the slim windows flanking it on three sides. I adore black shutters on a white home and all of those lovely trees and surrounding greenery only help to enhance the entire structure. But my very favorite part? The hanging porch lamp to be sure.

On the Rocks: Call a Cab Cappuccino.

I don’t normally go for blended frozen drinks, but his one looks deliciously dangerous. Silky smooth and way too easy to drink ten of. But this is no frou-frou cocktail, there are six – count ’em six – kinds of liquor in a Call a Cab Cappuccino.

Call a Cab Cappuccino
– 1 1/2 oz shot of Espresso – Chilled
– 1 1/2 oz shot of Godiva Chocolate Liquor
– 1 1/2 oz shot of Godiva White Chocolate Liquor
– 1 1/2 oz shot of Godiva Caramel Milk Chocolate Liquor
– 1 1/2 oz shot of Kahlua
– 1 1/2 oz shot of Frangelico
– 1 1/2 oz shot of Vodka
– 4 scoops of Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
– dark chocolate to garnish – optional
– piro to garnish – optional

In a blender, add your ice cream & then add in all of the remaining ingredients. Pulse until well blended. Serve immediately. Chill any remaining drink.

Tin Can Lids.

New graduate Jack Bresnahan exhibited a series of biodegradable plastic lids that repurpose used tin cans into household containers in a New Designers show last June. A set of nine in all, which transform the cans into objects including a vase, soap dispenser, sugar caster, tea and coffee canisters, toothbrush holder, money box and desk tidy. Love these, very smart design at work.
