Sony Webbie HD Camera.

My boss, Jeff, surprised all of us this morning with Sony Webbie HD Cameras! We’d been talking about flip cams for months around the office and he decided to get us each our own as a thank you for all of our work.

I’m pumped to figure out how the little guy works and to put him into action in as many ways as possible. And of course that will include video making its way over to Design Crush as well. Any ideas on how you’d like to see video put into action around here?

The Daily Eat: Sweet Potato Ice Cream + Ice Cream Roundup.

Sweet Potato Ice Cream that tastes just like the pie filling. Don’t let the purple color fool you – it’s only from the purple variety of the potato used!

Bake It Pretty.

Meet Bake It Pretty. A shop devoted to inspired baking supplies and adornments. Within the walls of her shop, owner Amanda has managed to include not only one but two of my vices: pretty packaging and nostalgic candy. The only question is which to order first!

Attic Retreat.

This room is the ultimate everything. Comfort zone. Escape. Sanctuary. The worn, covered furniture, the gauzy sheers and the door thrown wide open with a cool breeze floating gently through the room. I’m pretty sure I could get a lot accomplished here… mainly naps!

On the Rocks: Madras.

The Madras is a cocktail that reminds me of going to the 7-11 as a kid and mixing all the different kind of pop in one cup. Only I’m willing to bet that the result here is much more palatable…

Directions:
Fill a Champagne coupe with a dome of firmly packed, finely shaved ice and mark the ice dome into 7 equal segments. Over them pour, one liqueur to a segment, a teaspoon each of the following in the order indicated: apricot liqueur, green Chartreuse, Bénédictine, crème de cassis, crème de cacao, anisette, and dark Curaçao. Over the top of the ice dome pour 1 tablespoon Cognac. Sip through straws, tasting each liqueur separately first, then stir the mixture and savor the blend.
