Glass Sake Bottle.

I’m not a big sake drinker, but I am big on well-designed barware. And this glass sake bottle would also be the perfect vessel for chilled wines and cocktails. Add ice into the side compartment for instant chill without watering down your beverage!

Assembly of Text Recipe Box.

I love my little red tin recipe box, but I have a serious crush on this one from the Assembly of Text. The open-lidded design is really appealing for easy access. The box includes twelve dividers and 100 recipe cards (but fits standard 5 x 3″ index cards as well).

On the Rocks: Honey Mojito.

I’m really looking forward to trying out a batch of Honey Mojitos. The twist? Using honey simple syrup instead of the regular stuff.

Ingredients:
– 1 1/2 oz light rum
– 4 or 5 mint leaves
– juice of 1 lime
– 4 of club soda
– 1 oz honey simple syrup*
Garnish: lime wheel

Muddle mint leaves with honey simple syrup in a mixing glass. Squeeze lime juice and add rum to shake with ice. Top with club soda and garnish with lime wheel.

* To make honey simple syrup, mix 4 parts honey to 1 part hot water.

Mademoiselle Rocking Chair.

One of my best memories of being little is my rocking chair. My grandmother bought it for my mom when she had me. She nursed me in, rocked me when I was sick, and later it was a home for my stuffed animal collection. I’m head over heels for the Mademoiselle Rocking Chair. The lack of arms might not be the most ideal for functionality, but wow, it sure is gorgeous!
