Any Design Crush regular should have picked up on the fact that I love mugs and teapots. I love them even more when they’re stacked together as a unit like the Cafe Style Tea for One. It even features a built-in stainless steel strainer for brewing loose leaf tea. Most tea paraphernalia that I’m attracted to is simple white, but I’m loving the vibrant colors in this case.
Valentine’s Day is exactly one month from yesterday. Although I’m a firm believer in it being a full-on Hallmark holiday, I love the sentiment and ritual of giving out valentines. Remember decorating shoeboxes or paper bags as drop boxes in elementary school? So, so much fun if you were the Artsy Kid like I was.
I still give out valentines every year and don’t plan on stopping any time soon. But who says they have to be all saccharine-sweet? Check out these ridiculously hilarious valentines from etsy shop Scotia Made. I hate the phrase, but they literally had me laughing out loud when I first saw them.

But I couldn’t resist sharing the pata-pata folding pot mat. It’s so sleek and simple and folds up for easy storage which you gotta love. Can I just tell you how difficult it is to find a decent pot mat (aka trivet) these days? They’re all horrible looking. I actually received a ceramic one for Christmas that’s a cat. Needless to say, it’s headed to Goodwill. I sure wish Santa would have brought me one of these instead . . .

These recipe boxes from Jack and Lulu are so fantastic that there’s no way I could choose just one. The lid of the lucite box even has a small tray that holds a recipe card for easy viewing. Love it.
Everyone knows that you should have a fire extinguisher on hand in your home. I remember the generic red one in my childhood kitchen vividly – and not in a good way. It always stuck out like a sore thumb, sitting there in the corner next to the fridge waiting for some firery action.

And in my book that means less likely to hide away in the back of a closet, which means easier to find should you actually need it in the case of a fire.

I know several people who have issues with curd (mainly because it’s a gross word), but this Lime Curd and Sour Cream Cake looks ridiculously delicious. I wish my Magic Fairy Chef would whip one of these up for me ASAP. Actually, I’m just wishing I had a Magic Fairy Chef in general.
The 1 litre Water Company has truly impressed me with their packaging for 1 litre and 1 half litre. These bottles are the first to incorporate an actual cup into their design. Makes drinking bottled water (which is fast becoming a no-no, I know, I know) a little more sophisticated, dontcha think? I’m also digging the simplicity of the logo, but it does feel a little reminiscent of level vodka in my opinion.

Joey Roth is at it again creating a complimentary glass teacup for his upcoming Sorapot. Not only beautiful, but functional – it protects your hands and tabletop from heat with its tripod base and sleek handle. I love the smooth transition between the two parts.
