RoundUp: Valentine’s Day Gifts, Ideas + Stuff.

World’s Smallest Postal Service.
Here’s how it works: You write a letter and I transcribe it onto tiny stationary (1 x 1.5 inches) with a magical transcription device. It then goes into a tiny envelope which gets addressed, stamped, and sealed with a miniscule wax seal with your initial on it. The letter then goes into a see-through folded coin case and is packaged up with a magnifying glass in a larger glassine envelope, finished off with a large “World’s Smallest Letter” wax seal. It is then put in a sturdy mailer for shipping.

Two of a Kind. (via Josh Spear)
Many rings have been exchanged that symbolize a bond between two people… but few come close to the Two of the Kind ring in the romance department. Delivered in one piece, it’s meant to be broken by you and a loved one into two, perfectly matched rings. That way, when together, you really do “complete each other”.

Roundup: Valentines.

I waited. And then waited some more. And now that February is here I’ve officially jumped on the V-Day bandwagon.

Is it a Hallmark holiday? Yes.
Does it make singles feel crappy? Yes.
Is there tons of cute stuff everywhere? Yes.

This year that last one won out. Take a look at all the pretties out there!

Round Up: Super Bowl Treats.

It’s safe to say that I’m one of the biggest Steelers’ fans in Oklahoma. And come Sunday I’ll be making a fool out of myself – sporting my Jerome Bettis #36 jersey and Terrible Towel of course – at my friend B’s Super Bowl party. But we all know attire is only half the battle, the food is equally important. That’s why I’ve rounded up five of my favorite go-to game day eats. Take a look-see…

GO STEELERS!

Roundup: 2009 Calendars Part 4.

Round Up: Advent Calendars.

I’m running a few days (plus shipping time!) late with my Advent Calendar Round Up. But surely there are some slackers like me out there who don’t mind a late start. Or, who knows, maybe some of you pre-planners are already thinking about next year!

Tower Advent Calendar.
This Christmas calendar holds a 24 boxed large tower with the ability to have a gift every day until the Christmas Eve.

DIY Candy Advent Calendar from Alpha Mom. (via Design*Sponge)
I attached the cups with brads in a grid-like pattern to a piece of decorative paper, then glued the paper to cardboard. I set the board on a table and filled all the cups with candy. Then I carefully sealed each one by painting glue around the rim and gently placing a piece of number-stamped tissue paper on top of each cup.

Twenty-four truffles lead up to a very decadent Christmas. Their accompanying wishes, such as “Peace,” “Hope” and “Compassion” keep the holiday spirit alive. Handcrafted in 12 distinctive flavors, including Italia Espresso, Pear Brandy, French Silk and Conquistador Hazelnut.

Advent Calendar Cabinet.
Hide a surprise like chocolate or an ornament behind each hinged door, so that every day of Advent guests have something new to find. Crafted of wood composites and painted with colorful symbols of the season.

DIY Envelope Advent Calendar from Design*Sponge + d.Sharp.
Starting on the first of December, each numbered envelope will hold a small treat or a note describing a holiday activity for the day, like going to get a tree or making candy encrusted graham cracker houses.

Literary Advent Calendar. (via Black*Eiffel)

Amsterdam Advent Calendar. (via Black*Eiffel)
