There’s not one piece of jewelry in The Golden Smith Shop that I would kick out of my jewelry box. Truth. One piece can even be made from gold you send to the jeweler, David Neale, in Australia! My favorites are shown here, top to bottom: Sunrise Ring, The Sea Ring, and The Sun Bangle. (via Miss Moss)
Remember that cheesy personalized gifts store? You know, the one that was inevitably in every mall in America back in the 90s. Well, Mark and Graham isn’t that. Being a graphic designer and having a innate love of type makes me a little leery of anything “personalized” by nature. So you can imagine the pleasant surprise I received when this next-generation personalization hit it right on the nose with their beautiful font options and clean, modern pieces. Mark and Graham believes that making your mark is more than a symbol, it’s an artful mingling of typography and design. And you know what? It really is.
These are just a few of my favorite pieces, and they’ve also just released a comfy new line of personalized bedding that’s the perfect combination of luxury and style. Those pinstripe sheets are screaming my name – I think they’d be fantastic in my newly redecorated guest room.
Here’s the fun part, this week I’ve teamed up with Mark and Graham to run a Pinterest sweeps that you’re definitely not going to want to miss out on! Willow Knows a lot about fabric and aesthetic, particularly the tension between stillness and fluidity. Jessica Lee’s 100% hand dyed clothing and accessories are beautiful in design, concept, and balance. You can purchase your own little piece of Willow Knows at Need Supply.
Kerrie Yeung‘s jewelry grabs hold of one of the most vital rules of design and executes it to perfection – take away some elements, then take away some more until only the essentials remain. Every detail is deliberate leaving a simple, modern result that can be grouped with other pieces from the collection in endless options. Just my style!
One of my favorite summertime accessories is a great pair of shades – particularly the large, bug-eyed variety (I even remember purchasing my first pair the summer before college at a discount store!). I love the protection they offer my light sensitive peepers, so I’ve stuck with them and basically worn every shape for the past fifteen years. TOMS summer eyewear collection is beautiful, so when they asked me to help them get the word out there was no way I could say no! I’ll admit it was difficult not to fall into my old bug-eyed ways, so I struck a compromise and went with the Kitty Pink Tortoise style. I love their classic shape, trendy colorblocked arms, and the hint of pink in the tortoiseshell design. Did I forget to mention that I’m a pro at losing sunnies? Because I am. Luckily these gals arrive with a sturdy zippered which helps me do a better job of keeping track.
Now of course what TOMS is best known for are their super comfortable shoes and their One for One movement where a pair of shoes is donated to someone in need for each pair purchased. (This also extends to their eyewear now – woohoo!) I’m a happy owner of the Earthwise Orange, and now a pair of these wedges too. I actually haaate wearing heels of any sort, and can 100% honestly report that these are the most comfortable I’ve ever had on my tootsies. I took a chance on the color and pattern – I’m much more of a black/white/grey girl – and have to say I love how they go with just about everything in my closet! (As a matter of fact, I didn’t wear everything in these two images together, but I’m starting to think I might have to.) And I also like how the pattern goes all the way to the floor for a more fluid look as opposed to it just being on the upper straps. Now I’m eyeing up TOMS Cordones for fall!

This has been the summer of dresses for me, how about you? It’s just too damn hot and swampy to consider anything with legs. I’ve pulled together twelve pretty frocks to help get you through the end of this muck and every occasion you might need to muddle through up until those sweeter, cooler days of autumn are upon us.
I’ve never seen beads like this before, and I’m betting you haven’t either. Lauren Wilcox Puchowski takes copper tubing and kiln fires glass enamel onto its surface to create these beautifully finished baubles. I want to wear this red beauty with a white t-shirt and cutoff shorts for a fast and easy summer look. She also creates larger pendants and shapes in the same style.
Erin Lightfoot‘s hand printed porcelain jewelry pieces are covered in bright geometric patterns that are her bread and butter and sure to catch eyes. Each design is created in a limited edition run, while each piece is hand formed, polished, patterned and glazed by Erin herself.
