I’m wearing dresses in a big way this fall, and a pair or five of these easy DIY knee patch tights are just the thing to jazz things up a little and make old reliables fun again. I love the idea of doing a more subtle tone-on-tone pair like Stephanie at 3191 Miles Apart suggests!
Two ironic things about this giveaway starting today:
1. I’ve lived in Oklahoma off and on since 1998, yet never owned a pair of cowboy boots until a few months ago.
2. This is the first day I’ve not lived in Oklahoma in five years. (I’m in New York.)
Those two things being revealed, I’m extremely excited to partner with a bit of an Oklahoma institution, Langston’s! They’re basically the go-to for pearl snap shirts and tight fitting Wranglers, but they also have lots of other non-Western wear and great jewelry. Today they’re giving away one pair of men’s or women’s Ariat boots, I have these and love them. You can never go wrong with a pair of boots and a little casual dress is my book, perfect weekend wear.
To Enter:
1. Leave a comment below telling us which pair of Ariat boots are your favorite. One comment only, please.
2. Enter a valid email address.
3. Do it all before next Monday, October 31st.
Langston’s is also offering 15% off any purchase over $50 through October 30th, just enter the code “crushed” into the promo field.
You all were so gracious and supportive when I lost my job last month, it’s only fair I tell you about my next step that begins tomorrow. I’m heading off to New York for a long-term freelance job that will keep me there through the end of the year! Exciting stuff, for sure. I’m subletting a sweet little studio with a full kitchen in Fort Greene, Brooklyn and I couldn’t be more thrilled. After doing a fast tally, I realized I have many more friends in NYC than OKC and I’m looking forward to catching up with every single one while in town. I’ll keep you posted as everything unfolds, but in the meantime I hope you’ll forgive me if things slow down just the tiniest bit for the next week as I get adjusted to my new digs and schedule. Until then, here are a boatload of good things to keep you going.
99% sure I’m behind on these Lulu Frost for JCrew art deco jewelry pieces, but I’m digging the resurgence of Great Gatsby style so I’m sharing regardless. I’d like four through six on my wrist, please!
If I had an extra few Gs lying around in my bank account I’d be expanding my wardrobe for fall. But since I don’t I’ll just be busy lusting after a few things. What’s your must-have fall item?
I’m not sure when I first found HarLex and their incredible line of handcrafted leather, but I’m glad I did. They have a serious focus on customer personalization, from putting your name on your new leather good to choosing the color of leather and stitching used. All of which results in a unique one-of-a-kind product each and every time. With that sort of business plan it’s hard to go wrong!
