Posted In jewelry, wear itI feel in lurve with Nicole Deponte’s Lilian Asterfield collection back when she first inherited a trash bag full of vintage neckties. Each season Nicole creates a new line and I’m all over these rosette necktie brooches. The perfect unisex accessory, it would look just as dapper on the right suit as on a cocktail dress.
Posted In accessories, wear itI subscribe to the idea that beauty is not only in the eye of the beholder, but also that it’s all around us. In the changing leaves, blooming flowers, and even detritus. It took me exactly .001 seconds to fall in love with pick a jewel. {via Daily Poetics}

Posted In grow it, jewelry, wear itI love the contradictory characteristics of this Porcelain Gem Necklace. The delicacy of the chain mixed with the heaviness of the bauble. The sharp angles versus the curves. All of it. {via Pinterest}

I’ve always been proud to be a Scorpio and taken pride in the fact that I match up with the profile of the sign quite nicely. So when I thought (for a few days) that I might be a Libra, well, I started wondering how exactly one goes about changing a tattoo of a scorpion one might have on one’s foot into Libran scales. Luckily all was resolved shortly thereafter. However, since the Great Astrology Scare of 2011 I’ve been noticing lots and lots of astrologically-based things. Here are a few that caught my eye.

EmersonMade always (and I do mean always) impresses me, and so far this year is proving no different than the last. This month alone a signature tee collection was released and now there are these gold coin pendant necklaces. They hang at the perfect length, not too long or too short, and each have their own meaning. I do love that shamrock.
