Shabby Apple, whom I adore, recently launched their bridesmaid collection. Every single dress is handmade to order down to the details. The silhouettes are flattering to most body types, there’s a huge range of sizes and they’re affordable. Win, win, win. And do chic you don’t even need the excuse of a wedding to add one to your wardrobe!
The Arrow Ring is made out of copper and dipped in rubber. I love the raw-meets-synthetic look. And, oh, it’s adjustable. Perfect for those of us who never know which size ring to order. {via Creature Comforts}
I stopped wearing a watch a few years ago after encountering a keyboard drawer/wrist fiasco but could be swayed to go back to my old time-telling ways for one of these watches from Uniform Wares oh so easily. In white definitely. {via Better Living Through Design}
I’m skipping out a little early this week to fly home to Pennsylvania for a family wedding. It’s rare that I get to go back any other time during the year other than Christmas, so I’m really looking forward to it family drama excluded. I’m especially happy about getting to spend Mother’s Day with my 85 year old grandma! My mom will be in town for the knot-tying as well, so it’s going to be a good trip. I’ll see you back here Tuesday morning!
+ I can’t wait to try my hand at Megan’s felt dahlia flower brooches – I just hope I can manage with only two hands!
+ Forgot to pick up a Mother’s Day card? No sweat, download this free silhouette card from Two Brunettes
+ More May wallpaper to mix things up on your desktop: 1, 2, 3
Happy Mother’s Day!
Happy Weekend!
PS: Don’t forget, if you haven’t entered the CSN giveaway yet you have until Tuesday at 9am!
After waiting much too long to search for an outfit to wear to a wedding this weekend I had only one option left. The mall. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good shopping trip as much as the next girl. But not on a Sunday afternoon and not when it’s a buy or die situation. Luckily I found a sweet black wrap dress that accentuates all the right curves at my first stop. But my real find of the day were these Railay wedges that are so comfortable I’m fairly certain I could run a marathon in them. If I was a marathon running kinda girl.
I’ve always considered wedding garters to be unattractive and tacky. And then I saw these couture garters by Julianne Smith over at The Garter Girl and thought, hell, I don’t need to be getting married to own one! {via Pretty Little Things}
Today is full of meetings, so I’m closing up shop a little earlier than usual this week. Among other things, this weekend I need to shop for the dress I never shopped for last weekend (for a wedding in PA next week), play bingo with friends at a local drag bar and take Piper to the dog park for some major energy releasing. What’s on your agenda?
