While I prefer to call it goldenrod (because ew, mustard), I think its’s pretty much a potAto/potAHto situation and either way I love it. As I was gathering resources I realized that the only item I own in this color – whatever you want to call it – is a throw blanket. Might need to rectify that sooner than later!

Culottes is a word I associate with my grandmother, she often wears below-the-knee shorts in summer and has always called them this. It’s also a garment I’ve never thought twice about before seeing this style of cropped, wide-legged pant run rampant as of late. If you’re thinking they’re past their summertime prime or that they’re too dressy for your style, think again. Culottes can be cold weather ready by adding a fitted turtleneck or knee-high boots. They can just as easily be made casual by pairing with a tucked in t-shirt or cropped top and sneakers. Sold yet?

Emerald green has long been one of my favorite colors and I’m so happy to see it’s having a moment this autumn! I love how interiors and fashion often intersect like they are for this trend and can’t wait to take advantage and add a few pieces in this rich, deep hue to my home and closet.

I’m 100% behind what Silk Diaries is creating, especially during these harrowing times. They’re hand-dyeing silk as a self-soother for stress and anxiety to empower women in the workplace. Their most recent collection, Good Intentions, is 100% Habotai silk that’s botanically dyed with various plants, fruits, vegetables, tree barks, and cochineal (a tiny bug on the cactus flower, once thought to be as valuable as gold!). Silk Diaries is continuing to move the brand towards more sustainable practices.

Seems like wherever you turn this autumn there’s something velvet! Along with embroidery it definitely appears to be one of the hottest trends, both in the home and in fashion. There’s no denying the fabric’s luxe appeal or the level of comfort it can bring to chillier weather, but what are your feeling – are you on board?
