Archival Clothing is the perfect example of the sort of style I prefer in everyday life – clean lines, subdued palette, classic feel. I honestly couldn’t find even on thing in their shop that I wouldn’t love to call my own. My bed is crying out for one of their MacAusland’s wool blankets and my shoulder would love a plain musette. Preferably they’re also light or bright, we’ve had enough overcast colors by this time of year. They need to be easily slung over a tan shoulder, and just as easily tossed into the sand or grass. Some are fabric, some leather, some straw, but one thing is for certain – by summer’s end they’re all well-loved and worn out.

Will and Kate’s wedding is exactly two weeks away. As I mentioned before, I’m sort of pumped and will definitely be in full-on nerd mode. Oh wait, I already am. Only this week did I realize it’s on a Friday (damn Brits) and that I’ll have to get up earlier than usual to watch the festivities. Somehow the idea of setting my alarm for 4am on a Saturday, drinking coffee in bed, and snuggling my pooch sounded better than what what will actually be happening. Me getting ready for work, trying to keep my eyes open, and not spilling coffee on myself.
While I won’t be purchasing any of the extravagant W + K items (RE: the terrifying fridge, the fake engagement ring, commemorative coinage, etc.), I find this illustrated tote of the wedding processions by House That Lars Built 100% acceptable.

madebyhank’s totes and wristlets with suede geometric appliques are hardly breaking news at this point, but I’m still finding myself madly drawn in by them. The craftsmanship looks amazing and I can almost imagine the feel of one on my arm.

Over the past few days I’ve been thinking how I really want to upgrade my luggage/traveling bags. How stylish would I look traipsing into Salt Lake City for the Alt Design Summit next week toting this Ravine bag along my side? (I realize it would get smudged and dirty, luckily there are also mauve and black to choose from!) I know, I know. Who am I kidding, my packing list would never all fit inside, but a girl can wish.
