Tommy Perez

Hi Everyone! I’m Billy from Wit & Vinegar and I’m helping out with a post while Kelly moves/buys a house. If it were me in that situation we’d play a game called how many margaritas can we drink before we stop packing boxes and cry uncontrollably in a corner.

Since I kind of dabble in food over on my site I thought I’d have some sort of food involvement in what I brought over here. It’s an Instagram account that I’ve been obsessed with ever since Kelly posted about it in a roundup a while back. I figured we could showcase the goodness!

Tommy Perez works with food, paper, and type to make all sorts of magic that he posts on Instagram and every time it happens I freak out a little bit and double tap as fast as I can.

Maud Vantours

Artwork that requires such high levels of precision repeatedly blow my mind. Part of me thinks it’s something I could take on because of my attention to detail, while the other part thinks that it would just. be. too. much. Maud Vantours hits the nail on the head with her pitch perfect color palettes and symmetrical designs.

Scott Albrecht

These found paper collages by artist Scott Albrecht are ephemeral magic! Their geometric shapes and cut precision make me want to get out my Xacto knife and self-healing board, then go thrifting for old magazines to my heart’s content this weekend. But being short in the patience department some days I’ll just content myself with admiring Scott’s work instead. (Ahem.)

Brendan Austin

Nothing to see here folks, just some exceptional mountain photography. Or is it? Artist Brendan Austin actually creates these rugged looking landscapes with crumpled paper. CRUMPLED PAPER. The images start with existing photography snapped by Austin on various trips, then through a whirlwind of folds, shadows, textures, reworking, and rephotographing Paper Mountains are born.

Rebecca Roke

Rebecca Roke‘s architectural background sure does come in handy when designing her line of accessories for women. Her debut series reference celebratory leis, and are made individually from Roke’s collection of Japanese kimono silks, Indian cottons, and paper silks. Each crisply folded colorway is available in a limited edition of 20.
