Britt Hutchinson‘s embroidery is full of darkness. Skeletons, nooses, and undertones of love fill tinycup needleworks‘ Instagram page, which is exactly how this artist got her start. Hutchinson says the skeleton subject matter began by being based on stitches she was learning during Chicago’s polar vortex in 2013. After “stitching and posting, stitching and posting” to Instagram that winter her business took off.
These beautiful floor rugs by Atelier Février cost more than my first car (a 1987 VW Cabriolet convertible for those of you wondering), but goodness they’re a treat for the eyes. This is the kind of rug that people hang on the wall rather than lay underfoot. Each design features a modern look that’s been created with traditional craftsmanship.
You’ll never look at felt the same way again after seeing Paolo del Toro‘s sculptural masks. My favorite, Baba of the Woods, is a collaboration with photographer Tifani Truelove that takes on an otherworldly feel thanks to the woodsy backdrop and red-eyed creature.
Neon Zinn, AKA creator Seth Damm, is a collection of jewelry made from hand-dyed 100% cotton rope. Equally at home hanging on you wall as around your neck, Damm’s creations are expressive and experimental creations that can best be described as sculptural wearables.
London-based Jessica Dance is a textile artist and model maker specializing in tactile handcrafted models and props. So, super creative basically. Her knit foods and objects are full of amazing color and texture and I want nothing more than to slip those Nikes on!

North Carolina-based Anna Buckner‘s quilt paintings are completely captivating. She begins by piecing scraps of fabric together to form the top half of a quilt that’s then stretched on a support. The action causes the material to warp and a beautiful transformation takes place.
Showdown carpets are entirely fresh and different. Each one is created using urethane foam that is hand-mixed and poured into syringes before being hand squirted into lines and shapes. The end result is an experiment in color and patter that looks like a rug. Take a peek at the process below.
