Celestial Coasters
These coasters look a bit like a cross between agate and a science experiment, don’t you think? (via Capree Kimball’s pin)

Posted In accessories, house and homeBetween my loves of cooking and paper goods, you’d think I’d have a more organized game plan in the kitchen. Nope. Don’t get me wrong, everything is neatly put in its place. It’s just that once it’s there I’m not always sure what to do with it. If I don’t have a few recipes picked out and a list made when I go to the grocery store I end up coming home with apples and bread and that’s about it. I’ve found that most people are like me and need a little help, and these pieces fit the bill perfectly.

Being a huge fan of Mike Perry and a lover of screen printing, Pulled: A Catalog of Screen Printing hopped onto my wish list as soon as I set eyes upon it. Perry collects and catalogues the work of more than forty of today’s most talented designers who are pushing the boundaries of screen printing as we know it.
While I’ve been taken with all things embroidery thread recently, these pieces from Hide the Good Scissors are the only ones where the thread is used for its actual intended purpose. I love them beyond words.
Posted In crafts, createI love eating snacks and desserts out of tiny bowls and cups, so these Mediterranean Parfait Cups are right up my alley. I also think they’d make for some sweet bud vases in a pinch. (via the kitchn)

PHOTOS: Tabletop Made
I love everything about this line from Tabletop Made. The look, the feel, all of it. And I hope my mom’s not reading this because I just ordered the first card for Mother’s Day.
PS: Mother’s Day? May 8th. You’re welcome.

I’m sort of a professional makeup hoarder on the side. I love experimenting with new colors, new products, new techniques – all of it. Most days I stick to a fairly natural look, with the exception of some serious black eyeliner on my upper lids (that I’m convinced makes me look more awake). But when it’s time for a night out or a big event anything goes.
Saturday I made a run to ULTA for some face wash in lieu of Sephora. It turned out to be a fortuitous trip when I decided to look around and came upon a line I’d never heard of before, NYX. On a whim I picked up two lip colors. I’ve been on a never-ending search for the perfect red for well over six months, so who knew I’d find it in a $4.99 lipstick pencil. I’d also been lusting over NARS Schiap for almost as long, but wasn’t willing to dish out the $25. Lo and behold, here was my solution for under ten bucks! I’ll definitely be checking out more of their products in the future.

Mugs are one of those things that get out of control in a heartbeat. One minute you have the set that came with your dinnerware, the next you’re sitting on a pile of unattractive promotional eyesores. I swear I clean mine out at least once a year. (The easy thing would be to just say no to the free mugs, right? Wrong.) On weekend mornings when I can actually enjoy my coffee I like to nerdily choose my mug according to my mood. Most times it ends up being a white one I picked up on clearance for $2.99 – wonder what that says about me.
