Monday Goodness: Nookey Ration Card.

Happy Monday all!

This Nookey Ration Card from 16 Sparrows is making me smile. Download your free PDF version here. For those of your not in the know, “tearing one off” and “nookey” are both 1930s references to *gasp* sex.

PS: Thanks to everyone for their well-wishes last week when I was under the weather. It was a rough weekend, but I think I’ve finally got the upper hand!

I Feel Like a Number Necklace.

This great little I Feel Like a Number necklace was made after artist Melanie Favreau had a horrible experience at a government office. (Haven’t we all been there/done that?!) Available in a limited edition of 100, you won’t even know what number you’re receiving until it shows up at your door.

My Current State.

This is me today.

I’m at work, but absolutely everything hurts. My ears, my sinuses, my head, my muscles, even my skin. I’m convinced I’ve contracted every strain of everything going around this cold and flu season and made a big decision: next year I’ll be first in line for a flu shot!!!

BERGSBO Cabinet.

Alright, is it just me or is IKEA really hitting a lot of things outta the park this spring? Case in point: the BERGSBO cabinet. I’d love to have one of these to display all of my barware. Heck, it could even be a little cabinet bar if you stash all of your glasses and liquor bottles inside. Just open the doors and voila! Instant party.

Chronotebook.

Thanks to my obsessions with both notebooks and planners, the Chronotebook by designer Wong Kok Keong is my favorite winner of the MUJI Award 02 competition by far. I can’t wait to get my hot little hands on one!

Diary schedules are arranged in lines and grids, which are difficult to see and has little flexibility. This notebook makes it clear, intuitive and easy to plan and see your daily schedules.

On the Rocks: Blackberry Rum Runner.

It’s overcast and we’re expecting rain this afternoon, but I’m busy picturing myself on a tropical beach sipping on one of these Blackberry Rum Runners.

Ingredients:
– 1-1/2 oz rum
– 1/2 oz Banana Liqueur
– Splash of pineapple juice
– Splash of orange juice
– 1/2 oz Monin Blackberry Syrup
– 3 fresh blackberries
– Splash of Sprite

Pour the first five ingredients, along with two of the blackberries, into a cocktail shaker with enough ice to fill a 14-ounce beverage glass. Shake. Pour into beverage glass and top with Sprite. Garnish with the reserved blackberry and a straw.
