Autumn Place Cards.

I always have dreams of Thanksgiving grandeur, filled with perfect table settings and the most exquisite feast. Contrary to my dreams, my celebrations are usually relatively small. However, should there ever come a time when I need to break out extra chairs for the Dinner of All Dinners, these autumn place cards would be a must. Brilliantly easy!

Give Studio.

Last week the lovely Anne of Give Studio emailed me about her fantastic new line of paper goods. Really gorgeous designs and perfect color combinations awaited my eyes and I became an insta-fan!

The Daily Eat: Thai Sweet Potato and Carrot Soup.

I thought with Thanksgiving right around the corner that now would be a great time to showcase sweet potatoes. But you won’t find any sweet potato casserole recipes here! Because Sweet Potatoes Week is all about the unexpected!

As I mentioned earlier, today is downright dreary and fall-like here today which leaves me craving a hot bowl of soup. The unexpected combination of ingredients in Thai Sweet Potato and Carrot Soup leave me thinking that this would be a perfect fit.

Monday Goodness: Smile.

It’s dreary, pouring rain and cold here. My allergies are going insane, my eyes are puffy and I’m sleepy. I have a ton to get accomplished at work today.

And I’m still smiling.

Happy Weekend.

Another week in the books! I hope you have fabulous weekend plans.

This Weekend:
The Girlie Show!
• work on holiday gifts
• Saturday girl’s night
• groceries – my cupboards are bare!
• create art for above my couch (I promise house photos are coming SOON!)
• scrub stupid kitchen tile floor on my hands and knees
• make pumpkin whoopie pies
• wouldn’t mind squeezing a nice bath in either…

Happy Weekend!

The Girlie Show 2008.

If you live in the Oklahoma City area you should definitely check out The Girlie Show. It’s an awesome indie craft show full of talented ladies and their rockin’ creations. The event kicks off tonight 8 pm at the Farmer’s Public Market building. Tickets are $15 pre-purchased and $20 at the door. The Show is chalk-full of food from local vendors (it’s included in your ticket price so don’t eat dinner!) and there’s a bar. Things continue tomorrow noon – 5 pm. Tickets are only $5 Saturday, but if you attend tonight you can get in free tomorrow, too, just by flashing your ticket. Last year was a blast and I plan on making it a back-to-back!

Alice Chocolate.

I’m a true believer in the idea that when you pay for a product you pay for the experience it will provide you. Which brings us to Alice Chocolate and the sweet, matchbox-like package it arrives in and the cigar-like wands of pure chocolate held within. Lovely, lovely packaging.
