The Daily Eat: Pierogi with Brown Butter.


A lot of people have never heard of pierogies, or little pasta pockets filled with potatoes and/or other ingredients. But for me pierogies mean childhood. My grandmother used to make them with fried onions and brown butter and have always been on my list of favorite meals. I’m anxious to try out this version of Pierogies with Brown Butter and reminisce a bit.

    Pierogies are one of my favorites. I used to live in a Polish neighborhood here in Philly and would always go to these little mom and pop shops that made the best pierogies. Hmmm- I might have to send the hubby off to get some pierogies and kilbasa. Thanks, now I’m hungry!
