Posted In win itWelcome to Corn Week!
Confetti Corn is the equivalent of a loaded baked potato in my mind. This version is topped with Greek yogurt, hot sauce and red onion as well as a douse of lime juice. Looks delectable, no?
Posted In recipesI’ve been a devoted reader of d.Sharp Journal for eons and stalking Denise’s vintage-inspired paper goods for almost just as long. She has a great eye for extra special touches and this week she’s offering up an assortment of silvery gift toppers to one of you!
To Enter:
1. Tell me about your gift giving style. Are you a last minute or months early shopper?
2. Leave a valid email address (those who do not will be disqualified)
3. Do it all before Monday, July 27th at noon CST
Best of luck! Stop by both of Denise’s shops – d. Sharp and Open Drawer – for some vintage-styled inspiration!
Posted In paper goods, win itHello, Friday! The first half of the week was crazy-busy at work as we geared up for a presentation and the second half was busy playing catch-up from things that fell by the wayside. Thanks to a big ‘ol storm yesterday it’s finally dropped from the triple digits into the low 90s after two scorching weeks of heat. And now for the weekend!
This Weekend:
• clean floors
• buy birthday gift for K
• eliminate massive ginormous pile of laundry
• catch up on some rest
NOTE: This weekend’s your last chance to enter Win It: Midwest Modern Girl! The contest will close Monday at noon CST and a random winner will be announced shortly after.
Happy Weekend!
Posted In happy weekendI love bright colors, but lately I’m really drawn to muted, softer tones. Like in illustrator Clare Owen’s art. Very pretty work by a very talented lady.
Posted In create, illustration, web designSweet Potato Ice Cream that tastes just like the pie filling. Don’t let the purple color fool you – it’s only from the purple variety of the potato used!
