The end result of this Pipe Cleaner Garland project is jaw-droppingly gorgeous. I wonder if I have to patience and hand-eye coordination to pull through til the end? {via Design*Sponge}
Mary Kate McDevitt’s Mini Goals Chalkboards were first introduced to me a few months ago and I fell in love. Not only is the idea of accomplishing a few things a day easier to digest than a lengthy list, but it’s also much more palatable when written down on something as lovely as one of her chalkboards. Do you see that beauty of a chalkboard sitting above? Mary Kate made it just for us and it could be all yours.

Posted In win itLet the holidays officially begin! Starting today it’s my pleasure to play hostess to some of my favorite bloggers and their dream Wish Gift Lists. These are the gifts that they’d love to buy for some of the people on their own shopping lists. Pay attention because there are tons of amazing finds that I’d never have come across on my own!
First up, Dallas Shaw from Dilly Dallas…
1. Good Clean Dog by Seattle based body-care company, Sweet Petula. This natural line of canine skin care gives the most sensitive (and stinky!) pooches a chance to smell sweet.
Gentle yet effective, all of our products are made with vegetable oils, herbal infusions and pure aromatherapy grade essential oils. Perfect for pampering your four legged friends.
2. Bonpoint. The French children’s couture house and online fashion boutique.
4. Lambretta.

Posted In gift lists, guest postCranberries are the quintessential holiday fruit and one of my favorites, no matter the time of year. These Cranberry Gingerbread Scones have the best holiday flavors in them, I may need to make a batch next weekend for the follow week’s breakfasts! Yum.
Posted In recipesCongratulations to our winner, Rhianne! Thanks to all who entered the giveaway as well as Vivi Dot for putting together such a fun giveaway to help get everyone in the holiday state of mind.
Posted In win itFirst, a little keyboard cat for your enjoyment. Ahhh, that makes Monday better, doesn’t it?
Second, that certainly didn’t feel like four days of vacation, but I am feeling a bit rejuvenated. Thanksgiving was delicious (I three-peated in the dessert contest!) and Black Friday shopping was wildly successful (only a few gifts left on my list!). I put my Christmas tree and decorations up Friday evening and wrapped gifts for a good part of the day Saturday. I’m feeling ahead of the game and hoping to have some time to sit back and enjoy the season!
Posted In monday goodnessI’m thrilled for Thanksgiving this year. Not just the food, food, FOOD or the mad dash shopping on Black Friday (which I really do love, by the way), but the tradition. I’ve never missed a Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in my lifetime, so that’s first up. Then I’ll be making cranberry parfaits to enter into our family’s yearly Thanksgiving Dessert Contest. Sometime in the early afternoon I’ll head over to my mom and stepdad’s house. My mom and I will cook and browse the sales ads to formulate our plan of action for Friday. There will be lots of football watched and maybe even a little bit of Christmas decorating done since we’ll all be together. Finally, that evening I’ll roll myself to my car and home, with a bag full of leftovers to sustain me throughout the weekend. What’s the best part of your Thanksgiving Day?

I love pomegranates. In anything really. But put in a pomegranate cocktail in front of me and it doesn’t stand a chance! This one makes the Thanksgiving Day Cocktail List cut for sure.
Pomegranate Mojitos
• 1 Tbs granulated sugar (superfine sugar mixes in more quickly)
• 1 Tbs fresh lime juice
• 10 mint leaves
• 6 Tbs white rum
• ¼ cup pomegranate juice
• soda water and 2 additional mint leaves
Combine sugar, lime juice, and mint leaves in a tall glass; mash leaves with the back of a spoon. Mix in rum and Pom juice. Fill two martini glasses with ice. Divide mixed mojitos between the two glasses. Top with a splash of soda water, and garnish with an additional mint leaf. Serves 2.
Excuse this: just a little something for Technorati. YEDPYSJUAKBX
