While I’ve been taken with all things embroidery thread recently, these pieces from Hide the Good Scissors are the only ones where the thread is used for its actual intended purpose. I love them beyond words.
I love eating snacks and desserts out of tiny bowls and cups, so these Mediterranean Parfait Cups are right up my alley. I also think they’d make for some sweet bud vases in a pinch. (via the kitchn)
I love everything about this line from Tabletop Made. The look, the feel, all of it. And I hope my mom’s not reading this because I just ordered the first card for Mother’s Day.
I’m sort of a professional makeup hoarder on the side. I love experimenting with new colors, new products, new techniques – all of it. Most days I stick to a fairly natural look, with the exception of some serious black eyeliner on my upper lids (that I’m convinced makes me look more awake). But when it’s time for a night out or a big event anything goes.
Saturday I made a run to ULTA for some face wash in lieu of Sephora. It turned out to be a fortuitous trip when I decided to look around and came upon a line I’d never heard of before, NYX. On a whim I picked up two lip colors. I’ve been on a never-ending search for the perfect red for well over six months, so who knew I’d find it in a $4.99 lipstick pencil. I’d also been lusting over NARS Schiap for almost as long, but wasn’t willing to dish out the $25. Lo and behold, here was my solution for under ten bucks! I’ll definitely be checking out more of their products in the future.
Mugs are one of those things that get out of control in a heartbeat. One minute you have the set that came with your dinnerware, the next you’re sitting on a pile of unattractive promotional eyesores. I swear I clean mine out at least once a year. (The easy thing would be to just say no to the free mugs, right? Wrong.) On weekend mornings when I can actually enjoy my coffee I like to nerdily choose my mug according to my mood. Most times it ends up being a white one I picked up on clearance for $2.99 – wonder what that says about me.
I’m mad about this DIY planter, and all you need are a bunch of 12″ cinderblocks and liquid nails. Okay, probably a little lot of elbow grease, too. Thinking about doing a pint-sized version on my front porch.
