Australian-born illustrator James Gulliver Hancock has always been in the practice of sketching out each city he visits. But when he moved to New York things weren’t so simple. He was overwhelmed. So the obvious thing to do was make an attempt at drawing every building in New York. He’s chronicling the process over on his blog and I love it.
PS: All of the drawings are available for purchase as prints.
It’s funny to say, but dish towels are a big trend right now. Beautifully designed ones are everywhere. And any time there’s a clever way to squeeze more art into my life I’m on board. Charlotte Farmer partnered with To Dry For on these, the latest (maybe slightly too late) addition to my Christmas List. {via Eat Drink Chic}
Andy Babb’s 11 Resolutions for 2011 postcard set plays off of the New Year’s resolutions people typically make. Working out more, drinking less, losing weight, you get the idea. Andy illustrated each one, then took it to the next level. On the reverse sides there are two options for carrying out your goal: Hi-Res (high hopes) and Lo-Res (cynical).

I have a serious artist crush on Erin Dollar. She has a keen eye for modern abstract and carries her talent across different mediums, which I absolutely adore. Oh, she also makes beards.
Seems like there’s been a resurgence of love for Bill Murray recently, and I’m not complaining. Check out these giclee prints from Derek Eads, all are based on Murray’s characters in Wes Anderson films. They’re available as either one print (seen above) or individuals.
