365Q

Crushing on graphic designer Julian Bialowas’s year-long photography project – 365Q. Each day he pairs an inspirational quote with one of his own photographs. And while the idea has been done before, it’s motivational to me all the same. (via Dismount Creative)

Top Pot Hand-Forged Doughnuts

One of the few places I had a chance to check out during my whirlwind trip to Seattle in July was Top Pot, and to say their doughnuts were mind-altering would be an understatement. Last month brothers Mark and Michael released a cookbook revealing the secrets behind their recipe that dates back to the 1920s. Do yourself a favor and buy a copy, each and every taste bud will thank you!

Fresh Flowers

Fresh Flowers is one of the best things I’ve seen recently. Love flowers, but hate watching them wilt and die? This is for you. Designed by Sandra Bautista, this super smart project consists of 32 pages with printed flowers in a newspaper format that can be rolled up and placed in a vase. When you get tired of one variety just switch ’em out! (via bltd)

Oribbon

Oribbon is a sticky strip of paper that has been scored all over the place so you can fold it any which way to create three dimensional designs. If you need some direction, just follow along with the included instructions or go free-form. (via Internet Therapy)

FEED Bag

They were selling these trick or treating bags during NYFW and I thought they were fantastic both in the looks and cause department. Constructed from FEED’s signature burlap, each bag generates funding to help UNICEF provide nutritious meals to children in developing countries so they can lead happy, healthy lives.

the floodline

I’ve been following Lisa Golightly’s work and career for some time now, and her latest series – the floodline – is just as exceptional as the rest. In it she experiments with cold press watercolor paper, acrylic paint and fabric dye and ends up with lovely abstract results.
