Get Framed 2008 Calendar.

No, I’m still not over Calendar Mania ’08. My latest infatuation lies with the Get Framed 2008 Calendar from IGE. It’s printed on a 16 x 24″ piece of cotton and comes with five tacks – four for hanging and one to mark the date. I like it because it seems more substantial than your everyday paper calendar. And totally affordable.

Colour Calendar 2008.

I’m obsessed with the 2008 Colour Calendar for so many reasons.

“This appealing, spiral-bound desk calendar is a bit like a Pantone book with room for notes; each day’s color brings its own scent, taste and sound, the implications of memory, the possibilities of the future. A beautiful little object, impeccably printed, for the desk or attaché case of a design aficionado, promising enjoyment long after 2008 is history. The appendix includes a calendar overview for 2008-2009, Pantone codes for the 365 colors, and blank pages for memos.”

Clip-Art Calendar.

Leave it to The Martha to come up with a downloadable (is that even a word?) clip-art desk calendar. Well-designed since we would expect nothing less from her. Tip: Print it at 85% to get it to fit into the jewel case properly.

For those of you who harbor a secret (or not so secret) obsession with desk calendars like me, I’ve been updating the Round Up: 2008 Calendars as I fall in love with more and more.

Crackpot Weekly Calendar.

The 2008 Crackpot Calendar features a selection of awesome illustrations. Each calendar page showcases a new image – one per week from a total of fifty-six. There are two options for display – from the wall or propped on a desk. I love it because who wants to wait an entire month before changing the calendar? Lovely idea and execution.

2008.

Desktop calendars are a rather new obsession for me. I think there’s just something wonderful about the miniaturized months as opposed to traditional-sized wall calendars that most of us are used to. This is the time of year when I start looking around for next year’s date keepers and a desktop calendar is on my list of Must Haves. It’s not that iCal, my cell, etc aren’t handy it’s just that, well, these are so much prettier. Here are the contenders so far.
